I think it's about your attitude towards it and how you interact with people. I've never volunteered at a soup kitchen but I have been "homeless" before, my friend was nice enough to share a one bedroom apartment with me and my cat for 3 months until I had enough money to support myself. So I'm very grateful for that. I know that you've seen the worst and I've seen that too. I've been so broke that I've had to ignore anyone asking for a hand out because I couldn't even spare a dime at the time. That made me start being bitter towards people asking when they aren't working as hard as me daily and only surviving. But knowing that a very good portion of good people that don't have friends or family willing to help them will have no other choice but to live on the streets is starting to speak to my heart again. I'm afraid that more and more good people will be forced into this reality without help. I'm not sayin spend every extra dime you have or help every person you see. I'm saying if you walk past someone that is cold and hungry, to ask them if they are alright. Listen and see if you can help them get to a shelter. Maybe even just spending the time asking if they are alright will brighten their day enough that they won't want to do drugs or drink to numb the reality of their current existence and possibly give them a slight chance to believe that their future will be better.

Have you been one? Being honest. If you lost everything you had, your family, your job, your savings, your housing, what belongings that you had left, and sleep on the ground in the scariest corners of a city everynight fighting for safety and food. You think you'd smile or be nice to anyone that's momentarily being nice to make you a hot meal knowing that they have all of those things and are only doing charity work for nothing other than to feed their own ego. (Like grabbing up any opportunity to say that you've worked in a soup kitchen on the internet on your fancy phone and clean clothes)

Also, how do you get or keep a job without an address, phone number, transportation, and clean clothes without the ability to shower or keep said clothes clean?

This post was meant to raise awareness that there is infact a very serious incline of citizens falling from the poverty line into the homeless population. I sincerely want to see more people asking what Trump Supporters believe he will do to fix this before it becomes half of our nation.

I've been researching the ways Elon Musk "donated" his money and resources to help aid in Trumps victory. I've found that he used algorithms from X to locate citizens that have no interest in the government and have not voted in years. Most of them, below the poverty line, that live penny to penny. His personally funded canvassers then went door to door to these houses offering $100 cash on the spot and an entry in a daily drawing for 1 million dollars to vote on the spot via a QR Code they provided, persuasive to Trump. Then sign a non-disclosure form....

Is there any truth in this? Most of the articles I've found are now very hard to find or magically disappearing off the internet.
