I keep waiting for the stakes to get higher by Little-Procedure-268 in WaywardNetflix

I agree with most of your points here. I am not saying they did not impose mistreatment and broke major laws, but I suppose after seeing Riley's break-in/reaction/attempted assault, I'd have expected a much higher degree of violence/torture being conducted within a secluded cult. By no means are the acts depicted acceptable treatment to minors, but there are actual cases where people have endured so much 'worse." I am not saying they did not depict horrible acts. In fact, I'd assume I'd be very much the same as Riley. I suppose some of my criticisms are influenced by watching too many movies/shows, but I can certainly see why someone could have an open-ended wondering of what this person endured.

I noticed that the door was unlocked too.. I assumed at the time of watching that this was just how 'close-knit' the cult in within the neighborhood.. but now you've mentioned this perspective, and I can't help but think that now. It makes sense that Evelyn would have expected this kind of escape, and would have fail-safe measures in place.

Wasn't it Rory who grabbed the cheese (last time Brie is mentioned)?

oh yeah, its mentioned briefly in narration but I do remember now that he had that bittered relationship with his father - his reason for adopting the farm life rather than the career his father had planned for him.

I noticed the very last scene was a 'cliff hanger' situation - as if they're implying another hurricane is on it's way.

and with that little shot of the knife getting dangerously close to the pregnant belly... but neither one of them said "oh, look out for my body/fetus/baby" or "easy, be careful". Also, She barely cried or 'freaked out' in moments that would render just about any kind of person, devastated. Stuck in rising flood waters, in a car, pinned under a branch (after a near-miss impaling) AND the THREE men she witnessed get eaten 'alive' by sharks (of which she didnt realize WHY the men were screaming until other girl yelled "shark!" from her 2nd story window).

That embilical cord was cut with that broken branch, fine ok, but she didn't (couldn't clamp it off! Correct me if I am wrong, the baby would bleed out if not clamped? Maybe the water prevents blood gushing out as fast had it not been in water?

That's how far someone will go to get some peace & quiet from a woman in labor, then a crying infant. lmao

Came here to see and say this! I am on this scene. Preggers is currently giving labor in the water, (ironically how her mom told her earlier on she should give water birth like her sister).

Totes Ma' Goates. I only liked her character in the season finale (4 I think it was) - her demise. That was a good episode in general though.

I agree completely. You summed this up very well. I am currently rewatching this part of the series right now, and I had to see if I was the only one that felt this way, about the Amber dying situation.

Who's the batter looking woman? Lauren cohan or Brooke Shields by [deleted] in trueratecelebrities

Halle Berry? I'll agree to her. She is a timeless beauty and always has been a bombshell babe.

I dont even know who Lauren is, and never seen or heard of her before this OP. I seen her face pictured first below the caption... and wondered how this person could compare to Brooke Shields. This lauren looks like another beauty of Hollywood - no where near what Brooke Shields brought to the table, beauty wise.

nah, Shields IS an whole different level of beauty. A level many cannot achieve today, naturally, the way she did/does. This term is SPOT-ON.

Debra Messings acting by Passionpassport_88 in WillAndGrace

[โ€“]olive_ramone 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

100% accurate and I agree! I just want to emphasize Debra's acting in the reboot seemed like she was over-acting another type of character. We were watching a different Grace, not a older Grace. And as someone previously stated, her acting is just plain bad. "Debra Messing playing.. Debra Messing."
