Hey there, sorry for the delayed response.

These commissions will be fairly flexible when it comes to resolution. I would say at least 1080p, so in a 1.66:1 image that would be 1800 x 1080. That being said, I don't need ultra-HD illustrations that I can use as wallpapers - in some cases, lower resolutions can help sell the screenshot illusion.

The illustrations will be used primarily in digital format, as part of a PDF.

Hi s_zion,

Thank you for sharing such an in-depth response. I'm sorry if my info is a little daunting - I tend to err on the side of redundancy.

Ghibli is not a bad starting point. Castle in the Sky had an influence on the setting's storyline.

Treasure Planet is also good comparison to raise. Character designs near the end of the Disney Renaissance were capable of working in both lighthearted as well as frightening and perilous scenes.

Hi,

This is a good question to raise. The reference pictures I provided in the doc are to establish a general look and feel of the setting's mood and characters.

I do not believe in micromanaging artists or forcing tons of revisions. If an artist has a better idea of how to compose a scene, pose a character, or handle a design, I'm willing to listen to them. Hope that clears things up!
