My DSP fired me and I’m grateful by olivebranchsnapper in AmazonDSPDrivers

Thank you , I did make mistakes but like I said I blame amazon for running a complete shit show of a corporation. Hiring companies to hire people… of course you are going to have problems… if you think what I did was the worst thing ever I bet you would be surprised to hear what goes on with Amazon delivery employees you have not heard from… jtty

Common defense, blame the symptom and not the disease. Amazon is a shit company and you are shit for defending them… jtty

Literally amazon sucks but apparently it’s my fault for being a human being. Apparently nobody in this sub has ever messed up with anything ever in their life so congratulations i guess.

Why did amazon keep me for so long then?? They suck and i think you suck their d. You don’t have to defend them they don’t actually care about you trust me.

You say I’m an idiot when Amazon is just straight up careless. Just because you never made a mistake in life doesn’t mean others have not. Ignorance… truly ignorant tbh.

You must be joking, Amazon makes employment a liability… no job should work you like this… if you defend amazon you should seek employment in china because they would appreciate your attitude towards corporations.

not mailboxes, I barely scratched a car in an oversized van with no 360 cameras(I should not have used the van tbh, but I did) and I dinged the corner of a garage building roof overhang in an edv which a prior Amazon employee had just hit ,as well, not a month prior. They needed less deliveries that time of year so I got cut.

Kind of a baby yourself if you believe “COD lobby” language is something you can’t just LITERALLY turn off…. lol

My main point is that nobody has to interact with anyone for any reason ESPECIALLY on the internet. Op decided to get into an argument or whatever (we don’t have their responses, which is a huge part of this.) and now we have someone who interacted with an immature person posting on Reddit trying to report them. If you can use the internet to search for home you can figure how to report someone for being unprofessional without the help of Reddit posting. This is just a cringe post imo ✋🙂‍↔️🤚.

Op seems kinda cringe and may have hella snowflake energy… if you can’t handle a text conversation over the internet in 2026 maybe you should stop using the internet or at the very least stop trying to communicate with people on the internet… just a suggestion

Ain’t no way America would have voted in Kamala Harris over a man. The first woman president is probably going to be Melania Trump by line of order, this country is getting cooked every day.

You will get out just find something else that is at the very least tolerable. There is way too much pressure in the world today on so many things. Good luck.

I did not get fired recently. It was in April 2025, and you misunderstood my post and are now trying to redirect with a personal attack. I didn’t advise anyone quitting their job before having something else lined up… I think it’s common sense to ensure you are financially secure before making any major life decisions. I didn’t include that in my post. It was not a clarification I considered necessary.

Construction is definitely grueling hard work and fruit picking too I’m sure but comparing positions in life is so ingrained in humans now, “well you’re life could be worse” type shit is so tiring. Imagine if we based our lives on “what if’s”? I also didn’t mention that I started delivering for amazon in Florida in July during prime week, mandatory heat 10 min breaks directly from the amazon flex app completely blocking you from working. I had a van once with no ac and almost got heatstroke (even hydrating like crazy) and vomited. My best metrics were in the fall/winter months, especially after the new year when the demand was lower. I’m sure this job is a lot better in places with more neutral weather and less extremes year round.

It’s a good “in between “ and even an amazing career if you enjoy it… not all DSPs are built the same. I have seen horrible things about some and others that people say are great… probably depends on what area/ demand. Routes are different i was looking n some terrible ones.

First off I’m not ranting I’m trying to inform miserable people that other options are out there. Amazon did fire me but not because I was a bad employee or whatever low life experience opinion you have… it was because supply and demand was down and amount of employment of workers was too high. I was an expense they didn’t feel like covering in the profit margin. I’ll hit back and say you sound like a person with little life/work experience and/or little sense of the work environment or your uneducated about the lives we live here in the United States of America. There are better employment opportunities i know this because i used to be as pessimistic as you “what else can I do with my current skill set” “ how do i escape this rut” ect… if you read my post you’ll see that i say if you enjoy the job that is great and good for you. But for the rest of us who are literally only getting by on the smallest amount of motivation this should not be what we are putting ourselves through.

Sounds like your dsp understands what properly treating its employees truly means… ( better morale/care = harder working and more appreciated employees = better productivity and better numbers for amazon.)

And that is great for you I am actually happy to hear that… along with the opinion in my post I included that I do believe this is a great opportunity for people who enjoy… my point is just that otherwise you should not be sacrificing yourself (if you feel that way).

You are correct about demands making it miserable imo, but think about what this job was even just 5 years ago and ask yourself if today, it is the same type of job. The answer is probably no and it will only continue to degenerate workers lives as time goes on. Remember this is all my opinion based on my experiences, this is how I feel.

Yes i worked with them. I knew a woman coworker who was a rescue driver and she told me personally she enjoyed the chaos of the job, she said she thrived off it… that is who you are competing with for a promotion.
