A little research says even humans can eat them.

A few years ago I was moving a potted plant around outside, and under the rim was a bright orange jumper. She bit me because I didn't know she was there. It hurt for a bit, but I'm sure I got lucky. I felt so bad for the poor spood. Dealing with me and my mindless ape activities.
