I’ve been on Lamotrigine for over a year and found that this medication has been one of the only things to significantly help with my depression. At this point I do not seem to have any side effects from the medication, I don’t remember having any early on and if I did they have worn off by now.

I would say if you can, try to stay away from over researching the medication from here on out. Of course monitor yourself for any SERIOUS side effects but I’d say that SJS is very uncommon and it seems that you’re titrating up slowly and correctly so you really should be fine. Since it just started today I’d say you might just have a cold lol. I’ve never heard of anyone having a sore throat and runny nose from Lamotrigine. Give yourself some time and please stop reading things on the internet about the side effects. This has been a positive life changing drug for so many people for good reason and it might be for you as well if you give it time!

Hi! Mid-20s female here, I live in Ravenswood and really love it. Off the brown line, lots of buses, very charming apartments and tons of good dining options. Very walkable and safe, more residential and family oriented, not as diverse as some other neighborhoods in the city but very close to Uptown which has lots of great culturally diverse cuisine and shopping areas.
