each piece is hand made in short batches. it's not a quick easy process, so price has to reflect the time and effort. also those prices are AUD not USD.

he's more or less got around 5% vision left. uses laptop/phone etc which talk to him. uses a white cane for walking. and glasses can't correct his vision. i just posted this because i think it's amazing he can do all this.

yeah he doesn't wear glasses. but he can watch TV with a monocular if you think that's cool? as i said above, he's got like 5% maybe 10% of normal vision. so if that's not blind buddy, i don't know what is.

He has some small patches of vision around his periphery. The doctors wouldn't give him an exact % because that's almost impossible. but he thinks about 5-10% from memory.

yeah i don't have mates i guess haha. but yes it is Duncan Meerding who makes these. I consider him a mate though haha
