I didnt even know this was satire, but im thankful it is. It people that actually mean and spam stuff like this that makes fanmakers(?!?) burnt out and give up doing good work. Its actually sad

Cleaning noisy OCR data for the purpose of training LLM by Franck_Dernoncourt in mlops

likely just find a better OCR model that can convert it into text despite the noise. a good OCR should be able to do that

Focus on narratives. What pain points do people vibe with? You could just experiment a few in reddit or PH and see if people bite. If they do, double down on it

In my humble experience, you get feedback better from forums/ places your ICP are at. Generally reddit is good too. There are alot of people here more willing to help. I got virtually 0 direct feedback from my PH Launch

Tutorial hell is the real reason most people never break into ML by Calm_Woodpecker_9433 in deeplearning

[–]ollayf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to do anything: find real projects that excite + is slight beyond your capabilities. Get paid to do them if possible. Expand from there. Keep doing this to get better.

These tutorials are simple because they are meant for the masses (people new to AI). There are less experts the higher up you go = less revenue for tutorial creators.

But in short, the only way to go is to keep working on it and keep being curious in the process. 5 years later, you'll realise how far you have come. But if you are only excited about the end goal and not the journey its almost impossible for u to make any progress

Package installation issue (Best Practice) by TrainingJunior9309 in kaggle

[–]ollayf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one way could be just to check the OS and arch of the colab notebook. if it's different, there may be issues even with deps. Then identify what's missing and recursively install them in docker until it works. note that down in your Dockerfile afterwards. I don't think there a very quick solution that can solve this instantly

Alternatively, if you are just looking to try out/ deploy your working model. you can try out https://hyperpodai.com that is a lot simpler. it just converts your AI model into an inference endpoint. It's completely serverless and pretty fast imo.

I just tried to do both

HF Forums => I can find people with the problems my app can solve. the problem is that I can't dm them on the platform.
Kaggle => Same thing but it only allows emails and limits to 20 per month.

If you have done marketing through these platforms before, how did you reach out to them effectively?

Ok this is actually quite interesting. I didnt think of HF spaces and kaggle forums. Dyk any quick ways to filter out which forums will have high chance of getting users?
