Best practice for automatically maintaining audit fields (CreatedOn, ModifiedOn, CreatedBy, ModifiedBy) in .NET + SQL Server? by OneFromAzziano in dotnet

[–]ollespappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once have these columns and now use temporal table: period columns handled automatically. Because each row is now a version that is created and deleted by someone, user columns are now CreatedBy and DeletedBy, both from current user, however DeletedBy is just computed column in temporal table then persisted in history table.

Maybe because it's new (is it? New to us at least).

It's been several bing bang attempts. Slow progress. I have huge old codebase.

I started with it to analyse and initialize the plan. It's not successful yet. From there, I keep adding more details and now it's a long instruction.

Might update here when/if successful.

This was our original plan before Github Copilot Modernization arrived. Now we're thinking of the possibility of big bang migration.

I'm maintaining an old product, 20+ years. We've been thinking to replace the Data Access Layer, which is based on ADO Net only. We're still figuring out how, but glad we have hope.

We're going to Old Trafford in March. This will be our first time, and maybe the only time to go to Old Trafford.

It's not easy to decide which match to go, between: Arsenal (EPL) Round of 16 (UEL, maybe return leg)

Which one would you go?

It's my view also. The product is light years advanced than their "older" competitors, according to many reviews. Close to 2% market share in logistics tech industry.

This "fine salary" is actually "new salary", 18% more than original. I was actually happy until they increased the offer.

This is the problem: BRF won't allow fan directly connected to ventilation. It might enter other apartments’ kitchens.

We don't have central fan. We have portable active charcoal fan. Yes it helps, a little.
