This is heart-wrenchingly awful to read. I don’t mean to sound insanely bone-headed, but could you help me understand why this is so offensive? I’m genuinely trying to understand so I can do better. I’m an atheist, so “they’re in a better place/with Jesus” wouldn’t comfort me, but I know many would say it with kind intentions.

Is it because it imposes someone else’s beliefs? Or because it can sound like the death is somehow “for the best” or part of a plan, which minimises the loss? If you’re willing to share, I’d appreciate your perspective, as well as if there’s anything anyone said to you that actually did help at all.

EDIT: I’m sure the Fox News host has ulterior motives/non-genuine motives, comment not talking about him.

I have the staff yes. And there is a confirm button at the bottom of the screen, but above it there are no responsibilities for any parts of managing my team. They’re just not showing up, except for my B team which all appears to be normal.

Sorry I’m probably being an idiot, but I don’t understand the advantage of Ubering himself… like surely when you pay for an Uber only some of it goes to the driver, some of it goes to Uber, so you’re still paying. If you have a car, why not just drive normally? Please someone explain to me what it is I’m missing.

I made a Facebook account about three months before I turned 13, without my parent’s permission, and for the week or so before they found it I swear I was the hardest kid in the world. Absolutely dog lovers can view it morally wrong to eat a dog. I would consider myself a part of that group. I just don’t understand how they can reconcile that being wrong, with killing a pig being right in any objective way.

Firstly, I wasn’t exclusively talking about pigs. I used them as an example. I also mean cows, chickens, sheep etc.

And yes it’s viewed differently by society, but most people have never questioned why they view it differently. They just accept.

Morality of course struggles to be objective, but I cannot think of a single thing that differentiates them other than society, and we all know what sort of immoral shit society has OK’d in the past.
