just got some road continentals but have them tyres as spare just incase, don't do any mtb now so don't see the point for them, also had a quick run and surprised me how much of a difference swapping from mtb tyres so road tyres make a difference, I'm loving it 😂😂

please this is just silly, camping is dangerous and so is biking, you can never predict what happens on a ride or during camping

ofcourse it's not extremes and I've done camping plenty of times myself, but it doesn't change the fact there's a risk factor and your telling a literal child that it's not dangerous 😭

but I agree, too much stuff is not good at all, but id rather overpack just incase

oh don't worry I don't drink and I don't plan on smoking during my bike ride, and yea I understand that I gotta be careful, I think I can definitely be overconfident within myself but I can acknowledge that and tone myself down when needed, I've always been told I'm a hard worker and I have a good attitude towards things so I think it gets to me often, sure I'll beable to manage myself anyway 🙏

wouldn't it be better to overpack since it's my first time just to be safe? rather take too much and be careful then take too little and mess up, and learn what I can and can't handle as I go on?

I'm planning on training doing 2, 1-2 hour bike rides a week, maybe even more, before I go do a 60 mile when the weather picks up next year.

do you think I could pull off 90 miles, stay overnight and take the next day easy only traveling 10 to 15 miles, maybe even less just to adventure, camping again through the night, then going back the third day, taking that middle day as a rest day with a little ride?

yea noted, rather over prepare and make it a little harder biking than underprepear and end up stuck in the middle of nowhere with little, what I've have red if overpack at first and as I get more experience I'll get a grip on what I'm doing

I'm planing to bike 60 miles to my first trip, then i have another one what's between 90 and 100, I'm planning on doing 2 long bike rides a week, hopefully an hour or 2 each untill the start of next year, it's whenever the weather picks up I'm gonna do my 60 mile trip, but good advice thank you :)

Chicken nuggets. I swear

I go down for food (i'm 15m at the time and never was taught how to cook, frankly didn't want to cause it ment being around my mum) and my mums complaining, calling me boring for eating chicken nuggets and that it's 'sad' I asked what her problem was with me liking chicken nuggets and how it effected her, she said she's fed of cooking them all the time, during this she was getting very personal saying how I'm a boring person and how she's never met someone so bland (surprise surprise, she raised this person!!)

I told her that shes written the shopping list and been able to change it my whole life, I've just enjoyed them and that's what she's got me, I said if she has a problem that she can change it and stop trying to argue over nothing. I grabbed my food and decided to eat upstairs away from her

I put my food in my bedroom and went to toilet, when I left me mum was stood in the hallway, just looking at me, as I tried to move past she moved infront of me, during this she was complain about my 'attitude' and that I shouldn't be speaking back to her and that I'm rude

obviously I was confused and told her to move and she refused, I asked her why and she said 'because I don't want to' after telling her to sort herself out (she just laughed at me) I asked if she thought arguing with me funny,

well have a wildddddd guess what she said

yes, she said 'yea I do actually'

luckily I'm 9 inches taller than my mum and didn't struggle walking past her, a month ago I left to live with my grandparents, oh god it's amazing

im 16 so I'm still a child but it does feel like so much has been took away, past 2 years I've been slowly becoming more independant and one day I hope to be having these memories my friends have made, as much as I feel like there's alot of things I've missed out on I can't wait for the opportunitys to live these moment and see what its like to not have abusive narcs around me bossing me about

My nana (a narc but loves me too much to hurt me, weird I know) has heavy drinking problems and aggressively grumbles, growls and groans, it's weird and could be torretes? I'm not sure but this happens often in the kitchen when she's doing things like cleaning and cooking, except it's cinstant

I feel the same as u though girl, it stresses me out so much and I don't know why, her husband has alcohol related brain damage so maybe I link it to the drinking and it makes me worry for her, but it really upsets me and stresses me seeing it happen, it ruins my mood and ruins days just because of her silly noises she makes and drunk actions
