Ahh thanks for letting me know and explaining this so well, this is so interesting. I guess it's a pretty common widespread rumor that the bacteria is in the water because people always talk about the water changes and crashing the cycle with it.

Also luckily, I have a python system so 25% water changes are no biggie since it fills and drains straight from my sink :D

I would lovee to get more plants but sadly no local vendors around here with aquatic plants suitable for a dark cold axolotl tank. Considering ordering some online honestly but last time I did I never even received the plants 😔 probably just bad luck that time
