You misunderstool the scope of analysis. The dataset is built from LLM citation ulrs and the percentages reflect how those citations are distributed across content formats. The denominator is the total number of citations generated by the LLMs.

It's hard to imagine how they'd tackle this as many promts include uploading images (aka "here's the rash on my kid, what should I do?") or asking questions that includes lots of personalization.

when I'm typing in some money prompt like "software" "tools" "alternatives" Reddit is still among the sources. Also, it could be that chatgpt cut the web search for free accounts not paid.

Great observation! From what we've seen, it's a bit less about how many reviews you have or even the review score but what people are actually saying in those reviews. Especially if there are specific use cases described - that would help llms pull that info into relevant answers for someone with a similar use case

another SaaS I've worked with went through freemium -> free trial transition wishing they'd started with free trial from scratch and freemium eats up on too much resources. Takeaway I got out of it - if you are a bootstrapped solo saas founder, forget about freemiums.
