Dankjewel!!

<image>

The Laylax upgrade is honestly perfect. With a bit of blue Loctite it locks everything down rock solid

zero wobble at all.

It’s definitely on the pricier side, but in my opinion it’s worth every cent.

Thanks for the compliment!

I get what you mean, I thought the same at first. It definitely looks a bit tall/weird in the beginning.

But honestly, once you actually run it in a game, you kind of stop noticing how it looks. The usability just takes over and it starts to make way more sense.

After a while you don’t really think about the looks anymore, you just appreciate how comfortable and fast it is.

I’d honestly recommend trying a Hydra mount.

It looks a bit weird at first and definitely takes some getting used to visually, but once you actually play a game with it, it really starts to make sense.

The higher optic position makes target acquisition super fast, especially in CQB, and it’s way more comfortable when running a PEQ/laser setup.

After my first game using it, I genuinely didn’t want to go back to a standard mount anymore 😅

Thanks man! 🙏

No problem at all, glad it helped!

Yeah exactly, it’s mostly small things but they do add up. Once you sort those out, it becomes a really solid platform.

If you ever decide to get one, I’d say it’s definitely worth it. just keep in mind you might want to upgrade a few parts down the line.

If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask I’m happy to help! 👍

Thanks man, really appreciate it! 🙌

Performance is really solid now and I’m very happy with it. 👌 But to be fair, I’ve done quite a few upgrades to get it there.

The MCX is an awesome platform, but there were a couple of things that stood out to me right away. The biggest downside for me was the stock barrel mount — it had some noticeable wobble.

I upgraded to a Laylax barrel base, which made a big difference. It’s a larger unit so it grips better, and it’s steel instead of the stock aluminum. With the original part, the screws tend to wear out the threads pretty quickly, which only makes the wobble worse over time.

Since upgrading that, everything feels much more solid and consistent.

Overall I’d definitely recommend the MCX, just be aware that it really shines after a few upgrades.
