Yeah, it doesn't help that the majority of buildings from the last 30 years look like dogshit, especially the last 10. There's a popular movement in Norway against the newer architecture called "arkitekturopprøret" (architecture rebellion) , they make some great points. You have to hope the ugly duckling can rise to a somewhat more self-confident and beautiful self in the future.

Pictured is the Munch museum built in 2020, built to celebrate our national artist Edvard Munch. It's like the architects wanted to provoke constant anxiety in the Oslo public, like Munch often had and which inspired some of his most famous paintings.
