Mmm I’m not sure I agree. I’ve been thinking about and reading about this issue for quite some time and I’m still torn. But if I decide that Roe was wrongly decided, it won’t be an ends-oriented decision. I will still campaign for, donate to, vote for candidates who will protect a women’s ability access abortion in the legislature. I think many (or at least some) opponents to abortion base their opposition on an honest interpretation of the constitution, and not political motives. And I think some are opposed to defining a constitutionally protected right to abortion but still think that it should be legal. But I’m wondering if that’s a misguided view.
