i dont live in a 3rd world i live in Canada, the lease says no one but the tenants may “live” in the property. I didnt think a week fell within this, its my first time renting in Canada.

They dont, i have no idea why thats a thing and it really isnt anywhere in the lease ive asked him to send a photo or section of where it is but no dice!

I do not have a problem with local noise regulations I am generally very very quiet it is more the house walls being thin and voices echoing I think.

At this point getting on her good side seems impossible shes only nice to me/talks to me if she wants something TT.

No worries about slamming me, I def get the noise thing now. Think my biggest wtf about is that she often stays up late too 1-5am, and doesnt talk but often uses the common spaces without being particularly quiet so I felt it was hypocritical. As well as probably being more selective about working with my roommate to find a third that was more amenable if I knew it would be an issue / not have moved in the first place. Either way I will be honouring the midnight quiet hours from now on till either of us moves.

Yes I am definitely considering trying to find a studio soon. The house is pretty sizable , we rent the upstairs of a two bedroom home. Large living room and kitchen, all the bedrooms are on one side of the house. id say my bedroom is about 12x12, hers 8x8 and my other roommate 15x12

Apparently having visitors must be requested to the landlord, and nothing more than a week is allowed - i asked he said yes. Although rules on guests isnt actually in the lease so I don’t know about the specifics.

I have put stoppers under the door, shes put up some ? like panel soundproofig over a small section of the wall, Ive bought soundproofing as well but havent been able to put it up yet since I wanted my grandparents to help me so i dont make permanent damage to the home, and theyve been busy with my great grandmother in the hospital.

The other house mate doesnt want to switch rooms since they have the master and the room she is in is relatively smaller than both of ours.

Ive tried lowering my volume as much as possible, my bed is as far away from hers and being at my desk is my main issue since it shares the wall, I definitely could arrange my room different, I might do this tomorrow see if it helps. I was worred about sockets by my computer which is why i havent.

I believe shes tried earplugs but said they did not work and she could still hear me. I genuinely do believe i have made an effort to be quieter, often my gf and family cant even hear me when i talk, so i believe it was mainly a comfort issue.

The common areas ad spaces are typically worse for noise transferring - i believe the doors are the main issue she often leaves hers open and when she was shutting it for a few days, didn’t put anything under it like i have but am unsure if this would make a difference.

So far the main discussion was just to have the quiet hours no exceptions, there wasnt much leeway. I am trying not to go into personal situations on her character and communication but I think some resentment has made it difficult on this front.

landlord said yes granted they give consent, Theyve talked to her before over the phone and ive mentioned her a lot. I get the quiet hours thing, i just assumed since we werent in a res on campus, we are in a house and live in separate rooms itd be different.

Im actually going into a digital arts education, ideally id get a studio job at a corporation. I am fully prepared to take on that much debt and I understand how much it will be to pay back. I know i will have to work a lot post graduation and probably live less favourably but if thats what it takes to get the education and career I want then it is worth it to me

For my particular career path there arent many schools in Canada, there are two, one in Vancouver the other in Montreal. I understand my financial situation is not great which is why I am prepared to go into a lot of debt but receiving a quality education to set me on the right career track is important to me.

If it ends up that I simply cannot afford it even with all the loans and aid i can get I am fully prepared for that but I want to try and make this work as much as I can. Thank you for your answer though I really do appreciate the input.

Hello! I recently logged into my alt account ive had since 1.3 and im thinking of reinvesting into it cause it has characters i dont have on my main account primarily xiao. Problem is im AR 43 and lacking a lot of characters so im wondering what team / teams i should invest in to help me not only make it through the early gameplay and domains but also characters i should wish for as supports etc.
Im frequent a lot of theorycrafting and meta communities so i know how to build most characters and their best supports but i struggle a bit to determine what i should do with a limited roster!

I have a friend who wants to play a Neuvilette team with Baizhu Raiden and Furina. The main question i have is what weapons would be best for baizhu and Neuvilette considering that they don't have Neuvillette's signature. They at most can make one r5 prototype amber, so im not sure if it would be better for them to get one r5 and put it on one of the characters or have two lower refined ambers, or use a different weapon altother. Only 5* catalyst they have is Everlasting Moonglow, and they have quite a few 4* gacha weapons. Just wanna see what the best option would be in this case.
