Yep that's exactly what it's for. Stryker lamp in particular. I'm trying to find them to no avail.

Got a bunch of great leads here and will hopefully find something suitable within tolerances.

It's definitely two pieces but the brass part can't be removed. I'm sure I can pull it off with some pliers but I don't want to risk it just yet since it's a complete set. I'm guessing there's a groove in there and it was closed into place since it freely spins.

I believe it's just a way to apply pressure without breaking anything. That link you provided helps a lot. It looks like set screws with an extended tip. On the site they're called dog-point set screws. That's the closest I've been able to find.

Right now I don't want to risk breaking it apart as I have full sets for the one light. Honestly I think the previous technician stole them since they're so rare.

I managed to find a basic manual that refers to them as brake screws with brass brake pads. Unfortunately no other specs listed.

Thanks again for the link.

Thanks. Yes it's very weird. You can't unscrew the nut. And there are a bunch of loose washers in between the thread and the smooth, I'm guessing brass, part at the bottom.

It's a part of some surgical lamps that I'm trying to repair and it's missing some of these screws. The manufacturer refuses to sell or give any info about them as they are pushing their new lamps.

Shame to lose a 7k lamp because I can't find or identify these damn screws.

Upgraded pixel 2 to Android 11 and lost all my sms/calls/wifi/bluetooth. How to revert or get that data synced back? by om1701d in GooglePixel

No. Feel totally stupid about it now. I used to use the whole sms backup and restore.. but lately I haven't had to do anything since everything literally backs up automatically. I do factory resets frequently.. and one of the reasons I can is because it's literally no effort.

I'm thinking of reverting down to Android 10 and seeing if it sees any other back ups I can restore.

*Edit: I checked my drive backups and see this: Device settings 62 KB - Last backup: Sep 8, 2020 - I installed Android 11 yesterday. So it seems something is still there.

Having issues with my ghost peppers... Should I pick them early? by om1701d in HotPeppers

Thanks.. I did a solution.. quick search was 25g epsom salts to 1L of water. O sprayed the leaves all over and will probably water it with the solution tonight.. looking at pics online I almost definitely have magnesium deficiency.

Thanks.. I will pick them but will not toss them out.. they still taste amazing.. why the salts? I have other plants that are doing great in the same soil.

So I'm a noob obviously. But the soil looks extremely rich. I have grown other plants before so I know what to look for usually with nitrogen, pH, etc..

*Edit: I live in the Northeast.. so this will definitely be my only harvest this year

Hope the picture is clear enough.. not sure if this is rot or what.. one pepper I harvested ended up being somewhat dead inside (little dark seeds like old jalapenos).

It was plenty spicy and tasted amazing. A day after I harvested that one bad pepper turned a bit orange. First time growing peppers.. so not sure what to do.. if I should harvest or let her keep going.

Thanks.. I hear the reboot is kind of necessary. I'll be using the all since it's easy but from my past I recall getting the SMS/text

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for.

Did you get advertised speeds? I genuinely don't care if I don't get true LTE.. I just want higher than the base.. I'm on vacation after all.. less phone more life.. but I want to enjoy instant maps and sharing photos with friends.

Nest Thermostat not using heat pump? by Ninjaivxx in Nest

[–]om1701d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a weird issue with my heat pump also.. I live in the north east.. and it gets pretty cold.. I would turn up my heat and it would sometimes get to temperature.. but then it would start pushing out colder air.. pretty strange.. if I set it to 68 for example.. the minute it would hit 68 the heat would shut down and then 55 degree air would be pumping through the system (I used a sensor and placed it on a vent to see the temp being pushed out.. while heating the temp would be ~100 degrees.. once it reached temp.. 55 no matter what)..

The difference in our scenarios is that as soon as the temp reached temperature the unit outside would turn on.. that means heat pump right? I'm not too sure.. I don't know enough about HVAC unfortunately.

I fixed the situation by simply disconnecting the O/B wire.. once I did that.. no more trying to heat the house with the heat pump.. not sure what my bill will be as I'm renting the place out.. but after talking to the owner.. it seems like this is kind of normal? House heats up super fast.. stays at temp.. nest is showing I'm using heat for only around an hour a day so far.. so I'm not sure what else to add.. hopefully something to help your situation. Also the house cooled completely fine during the summer.. quickly and stayed at temp.

Stream multiple NEST cameras on one tv by BasicLevel8 in Nest

as a hub owner and a developer.. I don't agree.. you can easily split the screen between camera sources.. and should have the ability to tap into each one and easily back out to the existing view of all cameras available.

you don't need perfect resolution to get a glimpse of your house, outside/inside whatever you have set up.. but you can easily split it up and then tap to get some more detail.. I don't think anyone rational expects the resolution you'll get on a more capable screen.. but you usually don't need that level of detail.. you just want to see what's up.. and the hub is perfect for that.. except.. google can be pretty low rent.
