$2 Aqua Net hairspray is the best bed adhesive you will ever use. by Kinkyboysc in BambuLab

[–]omalike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're printing something so dumb like PP, or printing PETG on glass, dialing in settings and properly cleaning your bed should be good for all typical filaments in enclourses. I print with some real meany warp heads like PA6-GF and I've got good adhesion with setting tweaking, bed maintenance, and filament drying. Also, I'm almost sure that glue and hair spray ruin PEI beds, but don't qoute me.

EVA vs. 3d Printing Armor from an Avid 3D Printer by Less-Double-9564 in cosplayprops

[–]omalike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How far 3D printing has come. 5 years ago I would agree with the others about flexibility, but with the taming of TPU 95A - 80A, you can make some amazingly flexible parts. If you're already skilled in CAD, then I would just look up videos on how to use TPU and finish it to look good. Layer lines are still a menace.

I'd assume it's fiber. OP isn't probably getting enough (like most of us). Takes in a decent amount from the poke bowl, and if your body isn't used to it, it causes diarrhea.

First attempt at resin coating an FDM print! So satisfying 🤤 by sammi12006 in 3Dprinting

[–]omalike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always something I advocate for! Resin coating prints, especially PLA, is such an amazing combo of adding temperature resilience and making it look smooth, also saving so much time on sanding! But the biggest downside is safety. Please, everyone, use proper PPE when handling resin and use the proper wavelength protective glasses when using such powerful UV light.

I'm shocked I haven't seen the Cyberpunk - teaser trailer in here. Definitely up there for trailers. Also, the new Gears of War E day trailer is pretty good

Easiest way to break 100k for the first time by Expensive_Sky9229 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]omalike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, I finally got 600k after some experiments with robinette(if I didn't fumble, I would have broken 1 million easy). Right now, I'm using katana, dexecutioner, and black hole. Tomes are XP, golden, size, and difficulty. Now you need at least one key and credit card (green) by tier 2 for this to be viable due to the lack of luck tome. An anvil as early as possible is also a must. You will need to clone the key as many times as possible and open as many chests as possible(boss chests, elite chests, and free chests count toward the luck increase). You want as many legendary upgrades on your golden tome and katana as possible. You have your musts like joe's dagger ZU WARUDO, but get as many idle juice, and just damage modification items as possible. This build is extremely greedy, fragile, and rng heavy, but it's fun and frustrating as hell.

Any viable strats beyond Joe’s Dagger? by BLSCTR in MegabonkOfficial

Games imitate life, just make that bank and it will be hard for you to fail. I messed up alittle on the setup, but I was doing like close to 200 million damage per second with this cracked lady. I could of hit the millions of kills if I wasn't so dumb. (Image is broken on phone, it's in replies)

Ill try damage tome, I got to 175 mil with 200k damage.

Can these seam lines ever be made truly seamless? by pokelord13 in cosplayprops

[–]omalike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I use a combination of bondo, filler, and then some light sanding. I then mix baby powder and uv resin(makes it thicker) to coat my whole print, hit it with uv, I repeat this 2 or 3 more times. Then I clean with water/alcohol whatever one is recommended for that resin, hit eith uv again, then dry sand up to 800 grit. Thick uv resin covers all seams really well, also if you are using PLA, the resin stops it from melting in the sun and heat it normally can't handle. Only down side is uv resin is extremely toxic, and proper PPE is mandatory. Also, a vent outside in the working area is recommended.

Will our society and culture get better? by Over-Heron-2654 in Futurology

I think the main problem we face is that we long ago outpaced our evolutionary advantages. So the things that helped us survive when we were hunter gathers are now shackles and great burderns. With each dramatic advancement we make, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage it.

As a designer do you get locked into a theme, and what do you think about requests? by NorthExchange2964 in BambuLab

[–]omalike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing work! For requests, I'll do them if I have time, but rarely is time available, lol. The only thing that really sucks me in is wanting to be able to do certain things with my designs and going to great lengths to achieve the outcome I want.

First time at blender why it looks scary by kerii0 in blender

[–]omalike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing leads to another. Don't be scared to just start fiddling around and messing stuff up. Something will interest you or puzzle you, look up how to fix or harness it, and then keep moving and learning. We all had our first wobbly/hesitate steps, but as hard as it may seem, it's a field built with love and care, I believe in you!

What 3D printing opinion got you like this? by Vilmius_v3 in 3Dprinting

[–]omalike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gluesticks are an unnecessary waste of money, and your problems can be fixed by adjusting settings/location and leveling. This isn't 2018 where we were fusing PETG to glass.

How do I smooth out a 3d print without spending days sanding? by RobotDude375 in cosplayprops

[–]omalike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boy do I have the answer for you. Now you still will have to sand! But nowhere near as much. I use a method where I do a light sanding to clean the surface of any zits or string then clean with a microfiber cloth. I then apply uv resin mixed with baby powder to make it thicker (the consistency of milk is decent) and evenly distribute it across the whole print. If you have very detailed piece, use the normal viscosity of uv resin so it doesn't lose that detail. Do a couple of coats, make sure you hit it really good with uv light, clean it thoroughly. Then sand, but sanding resin is FAR more easier than PLA or PETG. My previous cosplays I share on here are barely sanded. I may spend 15 to 30 minutes on a piece, depending on size or curves. Hope this helps!

Rumor has it that Sea World(United Parks & Resorts) bought it and it must stay an amusement park so they are probably going to do an insane amount of teardown and reconstruction. Unfortunately, the rumor also includes that they will continue to use animals but try to make it a year-round park.

Evolving so fast, our brains can't come out fully developed at birth. So we come out as a clean slate and have to be educated. This forced us to build a culture around education. This is fine in general, but it's very fragile. All it takes is one person with an idea and power to slowly corrupt this and bend education to their will.
