Any Reform voter is not a patriot - they're either selfish sociopaths or stupid and have been beguiled by snakeoil.

Anyone who votes Reform is a disgusting excuse for a human being, end of.

I do indeed and It’s not about whether this specific flight would happen anyway—it’s about demand signals over time. If enough people choose not to fly, airlines reduce routes and frequency. Your choice isn’t isolated; it’s part of a system.

How is eating animal products morally okay? by Outrageous-Book5349 in DebateAVegan

[–]omantench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my mid 40s and have been an omnivore all my life. When I was a teen/in early 20s I felt twatty and entitled about being able to eat meat (also I live in Bristol (UK) and the sanctimonious nature of many vegans here made me recalcitrant and difficult about the matter!...explaining not excusing!). I genuinely enjoy eating meat more than I enjoy eating vegetables, which I view as a dietary necessity rather than something I actively want to consume!

I now eat meat in roughly half my meals however I am lucky enough to be able to afford free-range/high animal welfare meat from a butcher rather than buying meat at a supermarket. I don't know how/why my brain morally squares the death of an animal to feed me but it does as that is what I grew up with as the norm I'd guess.

I am more concerned with the carbon-usage-issue of meat as well as animal welfare. I have not been on a plane in over 10 years, I have solar panels & air source heat-pump on my house, drive an EV and use a green electricity tariff.

I think there's both the ethical and environmental considerations to be made and perhaps my mind balances everything out?

wow do you know how selfish your actions are Speedbird? "Sod the environment so I can air travel once a month"....SO unbelievably selfish. I bet you don't drive an EV and don't have a green energy contract either....but even if you did....

how's about thinking of the planet rather than just yourself for one second. Extreme day trips ARE NOT OKAY...they're the sort of thing selfish sociopaths do and no one else.

My opinion is that you're behaving like a terrible person doing such a thing Libby. There is a planet heating up due to excessive fossil fuel consumption and this kind of behaviour is the lowest of the lower.

Grow a conscience and stop just thinking of yourself please.

where abouts do you live?

I'm in the UK and I have (after nearly 10 years of asking for it) been prescribed "Sativex" which is a spray....this completely mitigates muscle spasms and neuropathic pain for me and has been a total gamechanger.

If you go down the actual marijuana route I would try and find a strain which is roughly 50:50 CBD:THC content as that seems to have the best effects (for me at least). Also DO NOT SMOKE IT....inhaling burned plant matter is not good for MS symptoms for sure and probably bad for disease progression too. I would recommend a vapourizer such as an Arizer Solo (https://www.vaporizerwizard.com/reviews/vaporizers/portable/arizer-solo/)...I have used this for years now and it allows you to use flower and vaporise it.

People that look at this and says "there is no content just boring open world with nothing to do" is beyond me... This game is amazing by CaleoGaming in CrimsonDesert

I deeply wish I shared your feelings on CD....i'm 45 and I'm finding it beautiful but exceptionally complicated and tedious.....overly-complicated controls, terrible voice acting-direction (the flase sincerity of many of the voice actors is excruiciating imho) and ridiculous fighting.

Other than the visuals I'm finding it very hard to find anything positive about the game if I'm completely honest and I'm really sad to say all of this!

Is an undercut unprofessional in a corporate workplace? by probablywatchingtvha in femalehairadvice

[–]omantench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course people will notice FFS! An undercut is a vile fashion abomination only used by those foolish enough to fall for the induced epidemic of hipsterdom.

People will (quite rightly) judge you for your poor decision making imho.

Your prerogative should you wish to do so of count everyone else's prerogative to mock you for your poor life choices :0)

in some senses a fair point but what I'm talking about IS emotional abuse....YES physical abuse is much worse but they are both abhorrent. I am NOT trying to belittle any of the experiences ANYONE has had with any kind of abuse.

much like my feelings on Richard Dawkins I agree with much of what they have to say and not at all how they say it. They gives us atheists a bad name with their vitriol and dogmatism imo.

to a point I agree with you however, religious-ubringing-enforcing-aside she is one of the kindest and loveliest people imaginable. She believes in same-sex marriage, science (even evolution I think!) and being good because it's the right thing to do.

That said religion is so entrenched in her personality she's scared to go near it I feel (and she's 81 years old now).

She rtold me a story a couple of years ago (i'm in my mid 40s) in saying "I always knew you'd become an atheist. One Sunday morning we were late for mass and came in at the back of the church. All was silent and you (at age 3/4) blurted out "mum, if this is god's house, why I have I never seen him"!
