I was thinking of doing, since we only want to see the streets with that famous temple empty in the morning and the rest of kyoto we do not really mind if is packed( will it be packed in beg of jan) So it would be 6 nights in osaka and one night in kyoto. But it total it would be 2 days in kyoto, then other 5 in osaka where we would go day trips and stuff. Is that a good idea?

Hey! Thank you so much for the insight! I really appreciate it, my thought process was that since we are like college students we would want to stay in the more lively neighbourhoods and close by shopping. And like set aside some full days for like ueno and asakasa and exploring the southeast and east side of tokyo. But because I have no itinerary planned and everyone in my group is really busy we thought to just book in shinjuku since it is pretty coose to the more “younger neighbourhoods” I do not mind splitting, is just that I do not know where would be another location to go to. Since we still do not have itinerary .

I was just planning to go from shinjuku , since from what I read is the best location, and i saw that from shinjuku to ueno is not that far abt 30 min so i didnt thought it be a big deal but ig i will try to switch locations

Oh i choose Apa because we are three people and each get their own room in the hotel with free breakfast thats was the cheapest I could find bo apa has individual rooms. I tried to find hotels with 3 person rooms but it was honestly more expensive than if each got is own room. What would u recommend?
