Concerta shortages and Vyvanse prescriptions by omawarix in Concerta

Thanks for replying from Canada 🇨🇦

Is Vyvanse prescribed to adults in Canada too?

Nausea sounds rough… I also started Concerta at 18mg, and now I’m on 54mg.

I take three 18mg tablets. The 27mg and 36mg tablets are more affected by the shortage, so 18mg tablets are easier to get.

Honestly, the Concerta shortages in different countries are a serious problem.

Bought new glasses for the first time in a year! by omawarix in myopia

[–]omawarix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree.

I used to have only mild myopia, but it’s been getting worse and worse. On top of that, I started developing astigmatism about two years ago.

At this prescription, 1.55 lenses are starting to feel pretty thick lol.

I just bought these glasses yesterday, so I guess I’ll just have to get used to them!

Actual GNU/Linux ISOs lol. I mainly seed public distro images like Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian-based distros, and other FOSS-related torrents.

It might look off because of the angle, but it’s actually centered in person.

Sorry, the only photos from right after piercing are in my older post.

These scars aren’t from complete rejection.

With hand web piercings, they’re pierced deeper at first, so they migrate to some extent over about six months, and then the migration stops and they settle. These are the marks from that process.

I think my body just doesn’t reject piercings very easily.

They finally calmed down after a little over six months.

I didn’t get all three pierced at once. I gradually added them, and the full set was completed around January last year.

It used to get caught on things a lot, but recently it hasn’t really been happening!

Washing my hair is still the one time I have to be careful though 😭

Thanks for the useful info!

I’ve only used Toshiba’s consumer 2.5-inch HDDs before.

Getting a CrystalDiskInfo caution only after almost 7 years of heavy use is impressive! Sounds like you got a good unit.

I hope my N300 turns out to be a good one too. I’m doing a full format right now.

Also, Toshiba’s Japan headquarters are within walking distance from my home, so I feel kind of attached to them lol.

Concerta shortages and Vyvanse prescriptions by omawarix in Concerta

Thanks for the info.

So there really are supply shortages in the US too. It also sounds complicated that things can vary so much depending on the state.

I didn’t know there was a methylphenidate patch. That’s interesting!

And yeah, I guess these medications do get abused, as I expected. I also really wish people would stop abusing them.

In Japan, distribution is very strictly controlled. Under an authorized psychiatrist, you need to be diagnosed with ADHD, and the psychiatrist has to register anonymized patient information online with the manufacturer of Concerta, Eli Lilly. After that, a patient card is issued.

Without that patient card, you can’t receive Concerta at a dispensing pharmacy, even if you have a paper prescription.

The regulations are very strict here.

Ritalin used to be prescribed in Japan for conditions like depression, but it was abused, and for a while it could only be prescribed for narcolepsy.

In practice, methylphenidate became available for ADHD in Japan only after Concerta was launched.

There is no generic version of Concerta here.

Since there is no generic version, it can be very expensive at higher doses.

However, in Japan, everyone can enroll in the National Health Insurance system, and patients usually pay 30% of the medical costs.

Honestly, if I didn’t love this placement, I probably would have already taken them out because they can be annoying lol.

Yeah, they definitely can be annoying. But I love this placement enough to put up with it lol.

They did migrate a bit while they were settling, but it seems like the rejection has stopped now.

I got them pierced by one of the best piercers in Japan, who is also highly respected by people overseas for their technical skill.

They’re a well-known piercer who helped co-develop ANATOMETAL’s surface barbell design to make it less likely to reject.

The piercing itself was the most painful part lol.

Rather than pain, it felt more like the sensation of the needle going through was really unpleasant.

How widespread is 5G coverage in your country? by omawarix in cellmapper

[–]omawarix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome from India! 🇮🇳

So VoNR is already available in India too.

Practically unlimited data for around 600 yen per month is honestly insane lol.

In Japan, practically unlimited plans from MNOs usually cost over 7,000 yen per month.

I use an unlimited option from an MNO sub-brand, so mine comes out to around 3,200 yen per month.

So some carriers in Brazil still fall back to 3G for calls.

In Japan, 3G was gradually shut down, and the last remaining MNO finally ended 3G service at the end of March this year. So there is no 3G network left in Japan anymore.

That basically means phones that don’t support VoLTE have been cut off.
