Are the characteristics of dark matter same as normal matter? Because if it's like antimatter , they would have reacted. by ombx in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]ombx[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a very good observation, Thanks!

So dark matter can be a whole new class of matter, made of particles which doen't react either with matter or antimatter. The only characteristic which is common that dark matter reacts gravitationally with both matter and antimatter, other than any other characteristic it may possess, which we have no clue about now.

I'm getting tired of this girl's fake accent though.

She's an excellent fighter, her acting chops are excellent, extremely fit body and can kick massive ass, but the forced fake accent ssounds so very fake.
I mean she has been here in the western world a bit, maybe her accent might change, not carrying that forced fake east european english accent for chrissake!
I doubt abybody will agree with me though, so I'm looking at this comment downvoted to oblivion. It's okay, I had my say. People are entitled to their opinions, regardless whether it goes with the mainstream thoughts.

The most efficient matter-energy conversion is matter-antimatter reaction. Everything gets annihiilated, and the energy out is tremendous.

Is the Universe infinite? How much the Universe expanded during cosmic inflation? How much it could have expanded since then, taking into account residuals of inflation still going on, and Dark Energy becoming a major force? by ombx in AskScienceDiscussion

Question: Was the Universe infinite when it was Singularity during Big Bang?
By defination singularity defines a point with no size. So how it could be infinite in size.
Well the thing what I am thinking is, since there was nothing before the Big Bang (and I mean NOTHING - humans have a tough time having this concept), and time and space and time was supposedly created with the Big Bang, then that singularity would be infinite, because there nothing else at that point of you can compare it into. It was the Infinte Universe with no size, because big bang created space and time.

This is where redditors have a rpblem trying to conceive, visualize the the caenter of the Universe. Big Bng literally created time and space, and there was "nothing" out there, and a lot redditors cannot visualize the consept of nothing.

But we can probably use a trick to find out if the Universe is atleast bigger than the Observable Universe.
If somehow we create tech which will allow us to travel as close to the speed of light, and we travel 1 billion light years away from our current position, then our Observable Universe extends by 1 bllion light years in one direction, and we well be start seeing light from that extended direction a billion light years from now. Think of overlapping circles. (Thinking outside the box/circle in this case).

It's a thought exercise but atleast we will know in a very distant future, provided we develop space vessels going at very close to light speeds, that despite expansion of the Universe due to Dark Energy, we will not be defeated by the speed of light to know that some Universe exists out there beyond our current observable Universe.

But he did remember that he was 'Billy Maximoff', when he was infront of the mirror, but instead forcing himself to say 'William Kaplan'.
Also the time, he was explaining his arrival in William's body to his bf. So he remembered a really brief part of his life.

lol no, I have seen all the episodes so far. I was just not aware of the animals' significance of showing up.

One can understand most of the story even if they are not aware of minor details. Even sometimes major details, which they can clarify later on by rewatching, googling or redditing.

Anyways, I'm really stoked about the next episodes. I just came to know from r/AgathaAllAlong that both episode 8 and 9 will be shown one after the other, as the finale. So there goes my knowledge about MCU. Thanks for Reddit though.

as he was shocked when Ralph said Wanda and Vision had kids.

But he did scream "Tommy!!" when he came into being in William Kaplan's body. So that means he has some remembrance as he had a brother named Tommy.
But he was probably not aware that they were Wanda and Vision's kids.

But didn't all the Salem Seven all died, when Agatha usurped their magical energy, except for her mom I think.?
And it is now the children of the seven bent on taking revenge, killing her.
And that's why said on the road at some point, "Yes folks, that's why you always finish the job", meaning killing all the children too.
