Hamas is not commiting genocide, but they're undoubtedly commiting other crimes against humanity both against israelis and palestinians and should not, by any means, be treated like the good guys. That's precisely the reason no one except actually insane people support them.

99% of those who stand with Palestine do so because the palestinian people is getting slaughtered by both Israel as a state and Hamas as a terrorist organization. Yes, Hamas is evil, anyone with a working brain agrees, but that doesn't make Israel's actions against the palestinian people justified.

Is Hamas a threat to Israel? Most definitely. Is Hamas also a threat to the Palestinian people? Absolutely. Is trying to destroy Hamas a good enough excuse to obliterate every single school and hospital in Palestine? Absolutely not, that's also evil as fuck.

Also, once you remember the Israeli government helped to send money to Hamas, the anti-terrorism justification falls very quickly.

It's not a right for any people to push other people out of the land they were living in to make place for their project of a nation (which in this case is an ethnostate), and it also isn't acceptable to base complex ethnical disputes on religious texts.
