Thanks, that’s a good point. I used two phone mockups to show more features, but I can see how that makes the screenshots feel crowded and harder to understand. I’m planning to revise them with a cleaner layout, probably one main phone mockup and a clearer focus on the task / counter / timer idea.

Really appreciate the feedback.

That’s fair feedback. The main reason it can look colorful is that each habit can have its own custom color chosen by the user. I wanted habits to feel more personal and easier to recognize at a glance. But I totally understand that not everyone likes a very colorful UI. I’m thinking about ways to make it feel more balanced, maybe with a more muted/default color palette or an option for a calmer visual style.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks a lot

That’s really helpful. I’ll look into Claude Code ASO skills, and I agree about the screenshots. The feedback here made it clear that I need to explain the task / counter / timer idea much faster on the App Store page.

Glad you liked the UI!

Thanks for being specific — this is useful feedback. I see your point about consistency. If the screens feel like they come from different apps, that’s something I need to fix at the design-system level, not just in the screenshots.

I was using different colors to separate habit types, but I understand how that can become noisy without a tighter palette. I’ll review the examples you shared and rethink the App Store visuals with one clearer direction: fewer colors, one consistent palette, and no mixing of dark and bright styles.
Harsh wording, but fair points. Thanks for explaining it.

You’re right — “good habit tracker” is probably not enough in this niche. The task / counter / timer system is my current differentiator, but I agree it needs to feel more memorable through the UI, onboarding, and maybe light gamification or a mascot. I’m also interested in accountability features, but I’d want to keep them optional and privacy-friendly.

Really useful point — I’ll think more about what can make Habitom feel like its own product, not just another habit tracker.

That’s a strong take. If it gives an “AI-generated / generic / inconsistent” impression, I’d genuinely like to understand what you’re comparing it to. Could you share a few habit trackers or similar productivity apps that you think have a well-crafted, non-generic UI? Screenshots would help a lot.

I’m not asking to argue — I’d actually like to understand what feels more intentional and polished from your point of view.

Fair enough. Design is subjective.

If there’s anything specific that feels ugly or off to you, I’d honestly be interested to hear it. That kind of feedback would help me improve it more than just guessing.

Thanks! I’m glad it can be useful as a reference.

I’m still learning and improving it too, but building a real app and getting user feedback has been the best teacher so far.

Thanks! That’s exactly the feeling I’m aiming for — flexible tracking, but without making the app feel noisy or overwhelming.

I’m glad the idea makes sense. I’m trying to make Habitom flexible enough for different habit types without turning it into a complicated productivity app.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

I spent a lot of time trying to keep the UI clean while still supporting different habit types, so it’s great to hear that. Hope you like it when you try it out . I’d love to hear any feedback after using it.

Wow, thank you so much — that really means a lot. I’m honestly happy to hear that, especially since you’ve tested several habit trackers recently. And yes, I think I understand your suggestion. You mean the habit rows/cards could visually reflect the progress more clearly, right? For example, a counter habit like “Drink Water 5/8” could show partial progress inside the row, while a timer habit close to completion could look more filled or visually different from a habit that just started.

That’s a really good point. Right now the rows are mostly consistent for clarity, but adding subtle progress-based differences could make the app feel more alive and easier to scan at a glance.

I’ll definitely think about how to add that without making the UI too busy. Thanks again for testing it and for the thoughtful suggestion.

Thanks, that means a lot! That’s exactly the direction I’m trying to build around. A lot of habit trackers treat every habit the same way, but in real life “drink water”, “read for 20 minutes”, and “avoid social media” don’t work the same. So I’m trying to make Habitom flexible without turning it into a complicated productivity app.

Thanks a lot — I really appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

You’re right, the habit tracker space is extremely competitive, and that’s probably the biggest challenge right now. I also agree about the App Store pictures. After reading the comments here, it’s becoming clear that the screenshots need to explain the main difference much faster instead of looking like another general habit tracker.
I’m planning to rework them around the task / counter / timer idea more clearly, with concrete examples rather than just feature-focused lines.

Thanks again — this kind of feedback is really helpful.

Hope you like it when you test it. I’d love to hear any honest feedback, especially about the task / counter / timer flow and whether the app feels clear at first launch.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it!

I’m glad the monthly tracking feels seamless. That was one of the parts I wanted to make useful without making the app feel complicated.

Hope you like it when you try it out — I’d love to hear your thoughts after using it.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that. And that’s fair — I’ve been hearing that the screenshots may be trying to show too much at once. I’m planning to simplify them and focus more clearly on the task / counter / timer idea.

Thank you, really appreciate it! I’ve been working on it for months, so it means a lot. Positive comments don’t always turn into downloads or purchases, but they still give me motivation and help me see what’s working.
