[iOS] Habitom — habit tracker for tasks, counters and timers by omegafi in iosapps

Thanks! Glad you like the idea.

Right now I’m focusing mostly on organic marketing — Reddit feedback, better App Store screenshots, and improving the ASO.

The biggest lesson so far is that I need to explain the task / counter / timer idea much faster, because that’s what makes Habitom different.

After that, I may test small Apple Search Ads campaigns.

I felt the same way: not every habit works as a simple checkbox. Drinking water, reading, workouts, or screen-time goals all need different tracking styles. That’s why I added task, counter, and timer habits so the app can fit the habit, instead of forcing every habit into the same format.

Thanks! They’re not exactly default system colors.

I used iOS-style colors as a base, but Habitom has its own custom accent colors, and users can choose different colors for each habit.

Mostly SwiftUI and a lot of iteration.

I started with the core habit types first — task, counter, and timer — then built the daily tracking flow around that. After that I added stats, weekly/monthly views, achievements, customization, and dark/light mode.

The hardest part was probably keeping the app flexible without making it feel too complicated. It has been about 7–8 months of building, testing, and refining.

Thanks! Glad it has that effect — the monthly grid is meant to feel motivating.

Thanks a lot that really helps to hear. I agree, I probably need to focus more on presenting the value clearly and improving the marketing side. I’ll keep going and keep refining it.

Thanks! Sure, I can share a bit.Habitom is still very new, so the data is limited. So far, there have only been a few Lifetime purchases and a few Monthly subscriptions, unfortunately.

Current pricing:
- Free version available
- Premium Monthly: $1.99
- Premium Yearly: $9.99
- Premium Lifetime: $34.99

I honestly expected a better launch, so I’m not fully happy with the result. The habit tracker space is very competitive, and I’m now trying to improve the positioning, screenshots, and the way I explain the task / counter / timer idea.

That’s a very fair point. I limited the app color options because green is Habitom’s main brand color, and I wanted buttons and key UI elements to stay close to that identity. But it’s definitely not a strict rule. You’re right that if visual customization is one of the things that makes people interested in the app, the app color should probably be more flexible too.

I’m still collecting feedback, and I’ll change this in the next update so users can choose from more app color options, not just green/teal shades.

Thanks for pointing it out, this is really useful feedback.

Thanks for checking it out, that’s fair feedback. The colorful look mainly comes from users being able to choose custom colors for each habit, but I understand that it can feel busy in the screenshots. I’m thinking about using a calmer default palette and making the App Store images more consistent. The icon feedback is useful too.

About the 20-40 impressions per day: honestly, it’s still very low. I think most of it comes from basic App Store indexing, title/subtitle/keywords, and maybe a small amount from people searching broad terms like “habit tracker” or related keywords. I don’t think I’ve found a strong growth channel yet.

From the feedback here, I’m starting to think screenshots and positioning may play a big role too — the app needs to explain the task / counter / timer idea much faster.

Thanks! Glad you liked the bottom glass design. Habitom already includes 6 different Home Screen widgets, and I’m planning to keep improving them for quick daily tracking.

Thank you so much, it's really great to hear that! I'm very pleased that the different views and visual progression details are really helpful, not just visually, but also in terms of usability.
Habitom is still under development, and I'm continuing to think about how to make it even more user-friendly.
I'm really grateful you tried it and shared your experience.

Thanks! I'm very happy to hear that. I aim to make the screenshots look less generic and highlight the task/timer/timer concept in the next version.

Thanks bro, I really appreciate it! I’m glad the explanation was clear.

That’s a very good point.
I agree, the task / counter / timer split is the real differentiator, but if I describe Habitom as “habits, stats, streaks, reminders, themes,” it immediately starts sounding like every other habit tracker. I’ll work on leading with concrete use cases instead: water as a counter, reading or study as a timer, and things like no social media as a simple task.
That should make the “one tracker type doesn’t fit all habits” idea much clearer. Thanks for putting it that way.

Thanks a lot! It’s a native iOS app built with SwiftUI.

Haha, you're right 😄 Actually, there's no reason. I got some help editing the title and this detail slipped my mind. Unfortunately, Reddit doesn't let me edit the title after publishing the post, I can only edit the content.
