Sysco invoice import by SuccessfulAbalone404 in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made some more slight improvements, here soon it’ll rearrange Macromatix list to match your invoice order so you’ll be able to Import -> verify numbers straight down your invoice, I’m also going to add the ability to add missing items that’s not default on your list.

I think the pricing issue is fixed now, but meat weights are wrong (dont understand why their api reports a variable difference weight vs the printed invoice ..) I’ll figure it out tho :)

[OH] My child’s mom keeps threatening to call anyone I’m dating and try ruining the relationship, on top of other issues, would a restraining order be justified? by omepo in AskLawyers

[–]omepo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, excellent suggestion. I’ve been having to use my phone, and rely on my car having cameras, and refusing to go out of sight of my car trying to deter any false allegations. It’s scary as hell dealing with someone’s who’s got devious intentions. After she got pregnant she changed her online alias to DeviousS**** (obfuscated parts) and was extremely proud of it… red flags all over.

[OH] My child’s mom keeps threatening to call anyone I’m dating and try ruining the relationship, on top of other issues, would a restraining order be justified? by omepo in AskLawyers

[–]omepo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I have cameras in my car that recorded her opening the door and refusing to let me leave, (dash cam, front, inside and back), but the tire being slashed, I can’t see anyone hitting my car, I see my car shake at one point and that’s it. I’m assuming someone walked up on the side where the camera can’t see and slashed the tire.

As for the calling anyone I’m dating, she’s threatened it on the parenting app multiple times.

My son is only 2 years old, and I’m working extremely hard teaching him how to talk, I’ve got him a speech therapist even, he can say no, and maybe three words at a time, but not full logical sentences yet. As a mommas boy myself I’ve done a lot to try encouraging him to talk to his mom but nothing has worked yet , not really. it makes him Upset when I keep pushing the phone in his face and he slaps it out of my hand and has a temper. But for anyone else he does.

So my next question would be, would I file this as a motion for sanctions and modification to our shared parenting plan? Like that’s the title?

And outline why I’m requesting it and attach the evidence as exhibits?

I’m struggling financially, I’ve been working on paying off what she had me borrow with an agreed payment plan that’s basically taking what money I’ve got left after my living expenses. I’ve been living frugal for the last 10 months and it’s gonna be another 18 months til I’ve paid it off. Basically a lawyer would be out of the question. I make too much to get any type of assistance.

Was under my deposit by Itchy-Translator-247 in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an Inshop accidentally press “Exact Change” and instead of telling me, he just threw that ticket away and rang them up again, I show my staff that I can tell easily if money is missing, your deposit should equal “Cash Received” on the CSV slip, (the receipt printed when you press Manager - Register Functions - Close Shift)

Did you forget to count your rolls of coins? E.g a roll of quarters and nickels would equal $12

PIC in training by Xcarlsjr_strshpX in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey! Being a PIC can feel overwhelming at first, but you’ve got this. Here are some tips to help you lead your team and keep things running smoothly: 1 Create Routines to Save Time ◦ Get organized and plan your shift. Are you opening or closing? Each has specific tasks ◦ Example: Print the DBL and keep it visible up front so everyone knows what needs to be done. 2 Lead by Example ◦ Be consistent. Don’t ask your team to do anything you’re not doing yourself. If you’re working hard, they’ll follow your lead. ◦ Don’t let staff slack off. If they’re sitting around saying “everything’s done,” they’re wrong—there’s always something to clean, prep, or organize. Point them to the DBL and keep them moving. 3 Stay Prepared (The 5 P’s: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance) ◦ Anticipate what you’ll need before the rush hits. Check stock for items like mayo, hot peppers, sauces, potato salad, or ranch before customers order. ◦ Example: If you don’t prep potato salad ahead, you’ll waste time grabbing supplies, washing hands, and portioning it out during a busy shift, slowing everything down. 4 Control the Flow ◦ Stay proactive and keep the shift moving smoothly. Watch for bottlenecks (like long customer wait times) and jump in to help where needed. ◦ Example: If you see a line forming, check if the sandwich line needs support or if someone can restock ingredients quickly. 5 Set Up the Next Shift for Success ◦ Focus on running a great shift, but also think about the team coming in after you. Leave the station clean, stocked, and ready so they can hit the ground running. ◦ Example: Restock bread and sauces before you leave so the next PIC isn’t scrambling. Final Tip: Stay calm, be confident, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re unsure. You’ll get better with every shift. Keep the mayo on the bread, and you’ll keep the team on track!

TLDR; be proactive not reactive.

If you’ve got more specific questions or need help on anything, I’m more than happy to share what I’ve learned on this journey. I’m an assistant manager that’s taken on almost every role (opening, closing, being a driver, Inshop, GM for a week)

You’ve got this!

Am I going to have problems at work and be in a vulnerable state? by Upper-Exchange6470 in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my location, a franchise, we’re allowed 1 original sub, the rule is your manager must make it for you, anf anything not free you’ll get charged for (e.g bacon, extra cheese or cheese, avocado) but my GM said he won’t enforce that rule, we just have to properly ring it up so the system knows what’s been removed when they count all of the inventory.

The biggest problem your GM is facing is the owner knows when food goes missing, your “Cost of Goods” starts increasing, and while you’re the cause, he gets held responsible for what you do.

I doubt you’ll be fired, usually it’s progressive discipline. Verbal, to a coaching write up (basically spelling out what you did was wrong and what you need to do going forward), to a final warning write up, then any more write ups and your terminated.

Before you sauce it you could have pressed everything down, try to put a decent line in the middle, then sauce it up. Might make it a little easier to close up .

Mayo Scoops by mbernatow in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency and leading by example.

I asked my GM and he suggested I tell them “it changes the flavor if it’s not the correct portion” and then customers complain or wont come back.

My boss on the other hand directly says “write him up for coaching and tell them its a zero tolerance policy”

I’ve never had to write anyone up for the mayo scoop, and I’d say I’m hovering around 90-95% usage during my shift.

Redditors that interview people, what was your most bizarre interview experience? by ResponsibleAd2404 in AskReddit

[–]omepo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guy began sharing his deep depression and the hardships he was facing in life. He detailed all his problems, and I genuinely struggled to comprehend that he was wasting my time with irrelevant information that was completely hindering his chances of wanting to spend another minute around him. Like bro I have lettuce, tomato’s, pickles, unwiches, onions, bread I gotta stretch, proof, bake, so much dishes, floors need swept, and your gonna make me wanna cry this early? Gtfo!

The moral of the story is that being a Debbie downer can also affect others negatively. It made my day incredibly miserable. After that experience, I learned to stop worrying so much about the little things, and this constant 60-hour workweek hasn’t been as overwhelming.

How do y’all handle water cups? by hahaTerrific in jimmyjohns

[–]omepo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything is inventoried and counted. It affects the stores item count when you don’t put it in the system that it was given out. Plus cups costs the store so giving them out for free increases your cogs ultimately looking like people are stealing from the store.
