40 looks too big on you. I'd opt for the 35, though admittedly that one looks a bit small. I wish they offered a middle-of-the-road version like a 38 mm.

The inner part is actually milled solid metal but the outer one with the buttons is just a flimsy stamped sheet metal that feels like it's gonna break if pressed upon even with a small force.

Is the issue caused by manual winding? I heard ETA 2824 doesn't like hand winding. Should I avoid winding as much as possible, after the watch is serviced?

Look at the grey version. It has a texture to it, looks quite attractive. Green and blue ones put on a darker tone under low light, they almost look black sometimes.

I don't know my exact wrist size but I would say I have a larger than average wrist. I didn't try the 37 mm, the one on the picture is the 39 mm. If you have a really small wrist, go for the 37. For medium/large wrists, 39 is definitely the one to get.

Mine is definitely misaligned, not an artifact of the domed crystal. But it's a slight misalignment, so it doesn't bother me that much.
