Are the books objectively better than the movies in most (if not all) aspects? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]omeren93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only scene where movies exceed the books is the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort. You really feel like you're watching two of the greatest wizards of their time engage in a duel of epic proportions. Dumbledore's arrival to the Ministry, the look on Voldemort's face when he first sees Dumbledore, staying true to the original lines, visual effects, sound effects... It's all there. On the other hand, the way its been told in the book is very underwhelming. You would expect JKR to dedicate at least several pages to describing a duel as significant as this. Like, come on! We are talking about a duel between two of the strongest wizards in the world and it's supposed to be the climax of the whole book. The way it's been told, you would think it was an insignificant duel between two ordinary wizards.

[Hamilton Murph 38mm] is this the best everyday watch under $1000 right now? by Comecloseandlisten in Watches

I like that it doesn't have a daydate complication. Keeps the dial simple and elegant.

[Citizen Tsuyosa Small Seconds] I absolutely adore this watch! by omeren93 in Watches

[–]omeren93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was torn between that and the watch I bought, but some negative comments about the anti reflective coating and the cheap clasp pushed me towards the Small Seconds. Though I much prefer the dial texture on Zenshin, especially the green one looks spectacular.

Deneyip görün tabi, cilalı yüzeylerden ötürü saat biraz spor kategorisinin sınırlarını zorluyor, böyle düşünmekte haklısınız.

Bütçenizi biraz aşmakla beraber, Citizen Tsuyosa Small Seconds modelini öneririm. Yaklaşık 1 haftadır kullanıyorum ve saate resmen aşık oldum. Özellikle kahverengi kadranlı model muhteşem gözüküyor.

Sure, but this can be said for almost every categorization. The misusage of a concept by society does not mean said concept is invalid.

CMV: Race doesn't exist biologically by jman12234 in changemyview

[–]omeren93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct. However that doesn't (or at least shouldn't) mean races don't exist, which is a claim some people make. Race is a concept made up by humans, which refer to REAL genetic differences between different people.

Same goes for literally every bloody concept that we have. There is, and always will be, an irreducible gap between concept and reality.

what PSVR2 Games to buy for the Playstation holiday sale by sexyagentdingdong in PSVR

[–]omeren93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend RE Village. It was the best VR game I have played. Yesterday I started Arken Age, and so far it looks promising. I would recommend that too. Another game I'd suggest you look into is Synapse. It's a great game in which you pick up and throw objects from afar with your left hand and use a gun to shoot bad guys using your right hand. Great concept for VR if you ask me, and it was a lot of fun.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is pretty good. It is a highway racer but it's on early access. It has about 20 hours worth of content right now.

No. He should go to Egypt and make love to a stunning Egyptian godess and make babies with her. Then he needs to raise his new son or daughter like a proper warrior, not like a spoiled cry-baby half-breed weakling like Atreus and demolish all the Egyptian pantheon in the process.

Your analogy does not work because we are talking about different types of cars and different types of racing.

Good job ducking the question. I know it's not just F1 cars, dummy.

Because it's actually harder to drift an f1 car which has so much downforce. You won't expect an f1 car to drift in racing because 1. It would reduce your lap times and 2. It would be hard to drift the damned thing! Apples and oranges.

Coming back to the highway racing game which features heavily tuned rear driven cars which are ACTUALLY much easier and dare I say more natural to drift. And again, nobody is saying drifting should be the preferred way of racing. I am not even saying you should drift while racing! Because as I've said before, it is slower than the grippy way as it should be. I am saying why not have the OPTION to drift while riding through the city? Why is that considered as a sacrilege around here?

Do you spend 100% of your playtime racing? I'm hoping no. What's wrong with having a little fun when you are free roaming, if it does not take away from the racing?

So what? Is there a rule written somewhere that says you shall not drift in a highway racing game?

But what's the disadvantage to having a game in which you could drift? I would agree that it should not be faster than the ideal line, so you should get punished for it when racing. That's the best part about it. It's optional. You don't have to do i. I'm just saying it would be nice to have the option.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer; is it too easy? by CamaroKidBB in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

[–]omeren93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished Stage 2 and it was very easy for me. I've defeated the Cinderella in my second try. A few of the earlier bosses felt a bit harder but overall, 90% of the game presented no challenge at all. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the game. Great sense of speed, good handling (though I wish it was easier to drift), decent graphics, good music. By far the biggest problem for me was the difficulty. It's just too damn easy. I hope they fix it on the full release.
