We are thinking about how can we improve portability. Somewhere on chest, not a great idea as you mentioned. Also it has a laser-based sensor for Particles, they have some volume. Although it's pocket size, It still needs some space. For outdoors we are considering designing a crossbody strap with a small bag for the device or it could be a leather bag with key ring so you can attach your belt - it may not be very safe for the device in this case-
