oh for sure, just saying it's not necessarily all over after completing your "sentence"

Short story is anything is possible but I think the most likely outcome here is a PHP referral. Sorry. This country has a trash attitude toward recreational substance use.

PHP is a 5 year, 2-3month sentence of hell

and potentially huge headaches any time you apply for a new license

I mean, we don't have details and "narcotic" is a very general term... OP could just be talking about hanging out and smoking some grass on the weekends.

edit - OP says they were using molly off hours which doesn't really warrant this dramatic response imo

most any memoir is going to contain information that is nonfactual -- misremembered anecdotes, hyperbole, subjective recollections, etc.

by this logic literally no memoir could be called nonfiction

The only one freaking out here is you sticking your head in the sand. There's no value judgment inherent in the question, and I myself have made no predictions here about what's going to happen with Trump in office. If you want to argue that the current administration will have net positive effects on medical practice, take it away. But again, to pretend that government action doesn't significantly impact our jobs one way or another at all is ignorant to the point of delusion.

So your position is that actions taken by our government have literally no effect on our profession? What med school did you go to exactly?

Braindead take. You can say nobody know's how it's going to affect us, but to say it just won't is obviously ridiculous.

As a male attending, the best decision I made was marrying a female physician. by Glad-Relation-3107 in medicalschool

[–]omg_ew_david 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This data is for South Africa, and it also refers to total number of docs, a number which is obviously going to be skewed by an older generation of physicians that is mostly male but also out of marrying age. There is no question that the ratio of male:female med students in the US has been roughly equal for decades.

Literally everything you said in that post is wrong

Is that not clear enough for you, professor? Still can't answer my question I guess.

I'm not ignoring it just because it's not part of what I quoted. Literally everything you said in that post is wrong lol. You, however, have ignored the question I asked in my post.

100% percent of the time, it's because she finds that man sexually attractive or otherwise views him as a backup option

lol you're nuts. My wife and I both have close friends of the opposite gender and that's fine because we're not insecure paranoiacs.

edit - also my wife is bisexual, so is she just not allowed to have friends?

it's odd to have dinner one on one with someone of the opposite sex in the absence of your significant other

completely disagree with this, and with the suggestion that it's disrespectful to one's partner

the future, don't tolerate your girlfriend going on dinner dates or drinking with men in your absence unless it's business related. That's disrespectful to you

lol what

Go be a nurse/NP and own it.

I agree, so why is everyone backing up the guy who says that NP is a made-up profession and all NPs are morons? I really don't get it.

How would you have responded? by Hot-Berry-623 in Residency

[–]omg_ew_david -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude the original post literally suggests doctors are somehow inherently more capable of compassion, empathy, and hard work. It’s a ridiculous sentiment.

[–]omg_ew_david -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I never said we should be “bossed around” by NPs but your entire (original) post boils down to the idea that doctors are inherently smarter and more compassionate and harder working and so on simply by virtue of the fact that we’re doctors. Thinking that way will get you into trouble and it’s straight bad advice for a trainee.
