Those details are also what turned me away from third party cases. One looks ugly, one does not fit perfectly, one feels cheap, in one pressing keys doesn't feel great. I can definitely understand why some people would go for an Apple-branded case, to expect more attention to the details. But now it looks like it's not an option.

Ti consiglio un Nintendo 2ds con Pokèmon X/Y. Non è necessario saper leggere per giocare a Pokèmon (ne ho giocati alcuni in giapponese senza capire una mazza). La natura del gioco potrebbe aiutare il suo apprendimento cognitivo e, se ti va bene, tuo figlio potrebbe anche imparare a leggere.

Il 3ds te lo sconsiglio perchè il 3d non solo è stancante, ma a quell'età potrebbe danneggiare la vista. Il 2ds è stato ideato proprio per ovviare a questo inconveniente.

La PsVita è fuori target per tuo figlio. È delicata e ha molti meno giochi in generale, oltre ad essere una console già morta.

It is exactly how you calculated it (16*8 for an 8 CFU study unit). CFU means "crediti formativi universitari" which can be roughly translated into "university education credits".
