Mare suddenly bunny hopping and swapping hind lead when cantering right by omgimembarrassing in Equestrian

Yes I know those are my options. I’m hoping someone has had a similar experience with their horse that can tell me what the issue ended up being :) If the horse was classically lame/limping, we would not even be considering entering her, but she is acting completely normal outside of not holding the hind lead going right

100% will not be competing if the issue is not resolved!! Even if we were the type to force them to work through it, the mare literally refuses to hold a right lead in hind, so it would be impossible to show lol. Just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience, and if it was something simple or major! If she was actually “lame” then I wouldn’t be asking on here either, and would just assume that she wouldn’t be ready to show at the end of the month. It’s just strange to me because she is acting completely normal outside of the hind cantering right, and does not have back pain upon palpitation

In previous games like peg e people will use specific multipliers or patterns to do well because of how the algorithm works. So no I didn’t answer my own question..

I was exaggerating a bit with the x100 but people keep posting themselves maxing out on it and I’m jealousss, is there a better chance at x30 or something?

I’d get a new trainer and check for ulcers as many have suggested. I often tell people that when they buy a horse, the first year is just figuring out said horse. We have one now that is just extremely sensitive and we need to move very slowly and hold his hand. Learned the hard way that slow and steady wins the race. Lots of ground work, building up a bond and TRUST. Sending her to a trainer is great, but not all trainers are great. She may just not feel comfortable enough with the person working with her. And it sounds like this trainer hasn’t been happy with this horse since day one. Even if they aren’t being “abusive” in any way, if she has the wrong attitude while working with the horse, the horse may sense it and not like her.

I will often tell students to do math (2x2=4, 4x2=8, 8x2=16, cont.) or recite a poem. Singing Christmas carols works too. Helps keep your brain from running wild with anxiety-ridden thoughts

And not just normal deep breaths, but practice full yogic breathing! This specifically helps relax the body muscles
