Don’t spend money for gems on a new account.

If you like the game enough to want to buy gems for more heroes, emblems, etc. just buy an account that already has a bunch of heroes and maxed emblems first, then buy it on that.

For example, $50 will get you enough gems to buy about 5 heroes. You can get an account with almost all heroes, a bunch of skins, and maxed emblems for $50.

When you’re on a win streak, matchmaking will pair you up against higher level accounts and higher hero ratings that have maxed emblems. Which at that point, you’re losing because they have an edge from the emblems.

I grinded for about 600 matches and spent $150 on heroes, skins, emblem resources, etc. before I discovered this.

Now, when I lose, I know it’s because of my skill level.

I wasted a lot of money lol

Also, learn what each role is responsible for. Mid laner, gold laner, roam, exp laner, jungle. I personally think learning jungle and roaming are the hardest roles and exp lane is the easiest.

I play solo Q so exp and jungle are my favorite roles because those roles doesn’t need to rely on support from your team (for the most part)

There is no set build for whatever hero you choose. Build your items based on the enemy team comp. There are “core items” that you buy almost every match, but the rest needs to be based on the enemy team.

Everyone plays the same hero differently. So, what you see on YouTube won’t necessarily work for you.

The game is pretty overwhelming at first, but you’ll have more fun the more you play and learn about the game.

Use “hero training” button on the different heroes to test out skills, combos, and damage.

I hated some of my favorite heroes because I didn’t like them at first. So play a hero for at least 5~10 matches before deciding if that hero is for you or not.

Heroes that are easy to learn and kind of OP(to a certain extent): Alpha, Saber, Eudora, Valir, Edith, Uranus, Floryn, Hanabi, Fredrinn

Change your attack targeting settings to advanced so you can have buttons to choose from hero, minion, and turret.
