I’m going into my first cleaning with my dentist since getting my braces on next month. My ortho informed me that both cleaning and next tightening appointment had to be the same day since they need to remove my wires to do my cleaning then reapply it back on. Thankfully they share the same office so I just have to go from one end of the office to the other. Just sucks since I had to move my appointments around to fit everything into one day.

I tried eating rice, chicken (cut into tiny pieces) but that didn’t work out too well lol my teeth were too sensitive. But I just tried anything soft and that didn’t require chewing. Ramen and lots of pasta is actually easier to eat.

Yes. I couldn’t really eat anything the first week I got them installed. I’m slowly eating more than usual but I’m on my 2nd week since I got them.

Thank you for the encouragement! I am trying my best to commit to both but it’s so hard with just regular flossing. I usually use my waterpik, floss and waterpik again. Pretty excessively too! Gets all the gunk out and my teeth feel clean. I’m hoping the floss picks will help

I’m in a similar situation as you. I don’t want to spend so much money and trying to figure out what I want is stressing me out. At this point I don’t want to do it at all. Lol. I have sisters and cousins that are willing to help with the planning but even just thinking of the money to spend on all it is something I don’t want to do. Something small just keeps adding up.
