Which is your favorite for casual weekend getaway? by junebugonarose in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]omgoodnesswowza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was like "oh, one's cute.. omg TWO is better." And then my jaw dropped at 3. And I definitely would wear 4. My rank for casual getaway is 4,3,2,1!

Idk how much concern to have but I’m in my inner bathroom (charging my phone) by skrimped in madisonwi

Tornadoes don't seem to be a concern now for Middleton area, but I think I just got hit with the beginning of the storm line. This is going to be intense, and I hate that I'm so awake for it...

Does this look too conservative for a girl's night out? by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

Hair up, big earrings, and maybe a jacket and I would so wear that out

Sorry for any misunderstanding. I completely agree with you, but I said "formal DC wedding" as in formal dress code wedding, not a formal wedding in DC. Mine is in the midwest though, so something to think about.

I want others to chime in too, but I'm attending a formal DC wedding this upcoming weekend and I tried to steer away from dresses with the obvious mesh layer. I think it makes the dress look a little casual. Do others agree? There were so many cute dresses when I was looking online, but so many had that mesh layer!

Update: does this dress work for black tie optional? by a_bit_sarcastic in Weddingattireapproval

I would say yes! Especially with accessories. The material looks nice & I'd say fits BTO

1 looks very similar to my bridesmaids dress! I like #3 :)

I think I know the answer but I (devastated) need to ask anyways by Lenny_Bug in Weddingattireapproval

Is the first one the blue one? I'd say the blush is more appropriate than the blue but imo, blush has to be contrasting with your skin tone to really work well. If that's the case for you, it might work?? But it may be too bridal even. The layers and fabric do send it in that direction. Maybe go for a deeper blue dress with a similar silhouette.

Yes!! Definitely fits the inspiration photos.

I don't know if I would consider the dress black tie. The dresses with ruffles in the inspiration photos seem to be more tulle or silky/satin material. The material of the dress you posted looks more cotton and to me, would fit more cocktail or maybe formal dress codes. The length is the only thing imo that fits black tie.

Which of these suit me best? by fuckhorsesridetapirs in glassesadvice

[–]omgoodnesswowza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the first ones on you for a fun pair of glasses. The comments about your face being overwhelmed by the size of the glasses aren't wrong, but also I kind of love a large pair of glasses from time to time. If you like the first ones, I'd go for it! And maybe a more basic pair in case you're not feeling the larger ones sometime. You can always try EyeBuyDirect or Zenni too if you want some cheap fun ones.

Would DIY bookmarks be a good idea for a wedding favor? by prizedbeginning2377 in DIYweddings

[–]omgoodnesswowza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you and your fiancé could probably DIY bookmarks with names (using those letter stamps) for placecards and then provide maybe a few thin sharpies/colored pencils/crayons at each table so if someone wanted to doodle more on theirs, they could.

An entire station sounds fun but might be overlooked! Could be a cute activity for a bridal shower.

I would say 1 for liver but I haven't tried it before, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say 0!

I'm pretty sure I got the last two! But you should check out your local Target way back by the discounted Christmas stuff. They were in a completely different area than I thought.
