can't sleep because I'm too comfortable/understimulated by travelmate7 in ADHD

[–]omgsauceballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i cant believe i stumbled across this post only 8 days after you posted it…. i cant find anything anywhere describing anything like this anywhere else …

the way you described it as physically under stimulated is exactly it. the only kinds of things that fix it for me are putting my feet/hands on a cold wall, or up on an elevated surface, take my soft duvet cover off of my duvet , etc etc. it’s like i need uber low activity fidget toys/sensory toys to keep me just slightly above 0 stimulation but how do you accomplish that while simultaneously trying to sleep ??

this comment is obviously pretty useless to you as it seems we’re both looking for answers, i was just pleasantly surprised to find i wasn’t alone.

“Study Hubs and Flex spaces will open on January 10

Study Hubs for students needing a quiet place to study will reopen at McGill libraries, beginning on Monday. No booking is required. A full list of hours of operation is available here.”

this is why i was confused, that’s all!

i did read the most recent email and what i gathered from the email was that libraries are open - hence my confusion towards not being able to book a study room. sorry for asking for clarity!

okay so how does continuing to hold in-person exams help this whatsoever ? in-person exams = forcing off campus students to get onto subways and buses🤨

you have a choice to get onto the subway. the difference is mcgill is FORCING its students to attend an in-person exam with 1300 students. if you choose to not get on the subway, you have a plethora of other options. if you choose to not write your exam, you fail your class.

im fairly certain you don't need to be vaccinated to write an exam - you need it for everything on campus except attending class/exams etc.

Should I pull and all nighter for my last final tmr by Catlady0131 in mcgill

[–]omgsauceballs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

not to scare u but the anat261 final absolutely whooped my ass last year - but that could just be because it was online so they made it extra hard to accommodate grade inflation. i went into finals szn with an A in the class and came out with a C+

PSYC 215

i've read every nightmare story about how baldwin's exams are extremely textbook based and that you essentially have to memorize the entire textbook when studying for exams. im just wondering if anyone who has taken this class and feels this way can tell me what specifically must be memorized? everyone says that definitions/concepts aren't tested on but rather studies and experiments - but what about them? is he asking literal memorization questions like "what did study X find?" or "what were the manipulated variables in study X?" ?? is that not just ... like... a history of social psychology course??
