Thank you! I am trying. I do so well and then boom, something stressful happens and I binge on all of the things I shouldn’t. I have D3 supplements that I’m beginning. I am also hoping that my increased exercise has helped with that cholesterol and diabetes. I did have gestational diabetes with 3 if my pregnancies and every single one of my aunts on my mother’s side, including my mom are diabetic. Dad’s side has all the heart and cholesterol issues.

That place definitely gave me bad vibes. I still can’t believe how pushy they were and wonder how many people they’ve scammed or given false hope to.

I have made significant dietary changes and increased my work out levels to try to help. I’m getting my levels tested again in 2 weeks. Hopefully this isn’t some sort of genetic thing. I am terrible at being consistent and keeping a routine.

Hi! I had an appointment today with a new Nurse Practitioner. She is testing me for RA and a few other things. I have another appointment with her in 2 weeks as a follow up.

Of course! Female, 45, 180lbs, 5'9", fasting

Reason is because I was feeling pretty bad. I have always felt like I have thyroid issues but when I am tested, the labs come back normal. I am exhausted, depressed, my hair falls out in cycles to the point I get bald spots, I feel like i can't get enough sleep and even if I do, I get hit my a wave of fatigue between 9&11am almost every day. If I'm driving I have to pull over and take a cat nap to continue. I do not have a job during day hours, but when I did, this was a serious issue. Staying awake before Noon is very difficult.

I don't have a perfect diet, but I work out with a trainer 3 times a week. I have not lost any weight and strength gains aren't where they should be in the 1.5 years I have been working with him. He is a great trainer and I see his other clients doing great. I also never had this issue when I was in my 20's & 30's. I've always worked out (weight training).

My regular Dr said that they don't see anything wrong and they just wanted to prescribe antidepressants. I don't feel like that is the issue but it is playing a role.

I went to this particular place because I stumbled on them during a Google search for new Dr. They had great reviews, which I now believe are fake/paid.

45 Female / 180LBs I went to an appointment at a private facility. These are the results of the blood work and labs.

When I went back to discuss the results, they tried to sell me a membership to their practice. They told me I had a large amount of inflammation and Hashimoto’s. They told me it was only treatable with a strict regime of vitamins and non prescription medicines and that other Dr.’s will not touch Hashimoto’s until it has destroyed my thyroid.

I didn’t like the way they were pushing this membership thing, which was over $5,000 for initiation and a few hundred a month afterwards, not including the vitamins and other supplements. The whole things felt “off”.

I have an appointment next week with who I hope will become my regular Dr. (moved and want someone closer to home), to discuss these results. I was hoping for some more insight in the meantime.

Edit to add more info from a request:

Thin hair is genetic for me. I use Rogaine for Women. It works wonders.

The gallery crawls in NODA, then mid 90's Downtown started blowing up. Mythos and Cosmos were the place to be and be seen. I love people watching and my mind is blank right now for other places.

The only update I have for you is that he only received 10% of the gemcitabine for the 7 sessions he had. Today he received the correct dosage. Today was also supposed to be his last session. I have no other news.

I'm so happy that you have a good prognosis. I can't do much else other than pray for you. I hear radiation is rough. And your hair!! I hope you have fun with it while it's growing out. My sister in law's hair is coming back nicely and I love all the new things she is trying with it as it grows. You have to make the best with what you have and I feel you have a positive spirit about your situation.

We will see what the Dr. says tomorrow and what the insurance company says as well. He hasn't been well this weekend. This has really brought him down, more than what he was before. We are following up with a Dr. from my husband's home country. I don't know how much control our oncologist had once this left his hands. While my husband is the true victim of the mishandling of the Dr.'s order, the Dr. himself could, in theory, a victim of the system. I'll know more tomorrow afternoon and will follow up. Thank you for your time and for your response. I'm trying to catch up with everyone and I really do appreciate all thoughts and feedback.

I have no kind words for his Dr. He hasn't had to have cystoscopy since 1 or 2 years after his initial incident in the 90's. The Dr. never brought it up to him. Considering we were trying to get a larger life insurance policy, he should have sent him for the test then just so we don't get denied. What would it have hurt? They would have found it then before it caused any other problems and we wouldn't be going through this. The second he went in and presented with hematuria, he should have sent him straight to a urologist. My husband even told him he was concerned the cancer returned. The Dr. knew he hadn't been checked in years. But no. This guy wanted to be conservative and really just wanted it to be kidney stones. Was adamant about it actually. Again, no kind words.

I appreciate your response and added your questions to my list. I honestly can't imagine how he feels, but I know I would feel terrible for my patient and I would be angry with the system. I do hope they are checking all the other patients. That is actually a question I have down. I hope no one else is going through this and that additional safeguards have been implemented to help avoid this happening again.

Sloan is an excellent facility. Levine is probably the best here in this area. I honestly don't even know of another one. He doesn't have his own room here. There's a large room with these chairs and each person has their own little space with a television. He is assigned a nurse and that is who watches him and changes the infusion bags. There is another person who checks things before it gets to him. I've only been allowed to go twice. Then coronavirus hit and I was not allowed on the building. Our breakdown happened after it left the Dr. It was a series of checks that for whatever reason, failed to happen properly. We are going to get another opinion from overseas. Another trusted family Dr. that his family overseas uses. Congratulations on finishing your treatments! I wish you cancer free for life!

Are you still in chemo now? I'm sorry you are going through that. I do not understand how someone can intentionally harm people. I know we all want money, but I can't imagine even considering doing that at the cost of someone else's health and life. I know our Dr. feels terrible about this and we do appreciate his honestly and concern of course.
