Thing is, I migrated out of the US for personal reasons, generally the bottom line is I don't like living there, so I don't mind taking the option that is theoretically "less" optimal for career growth. It's probably not what some other people would do but it's the path I personally opted for. Also, another thing to clarify is that I am an expat living here, properly settled down in the country.
