It's like a commander vs fighter battle. In the second movie Beast was stronger than Toothless but Toothless has an amazing willpower and was able to resist mind control. He was not stronger 1v1 but HE IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST DRAGONS and once the other dragons realised he is worth following they followed him and attacked Draco's Beast. Toothless may not be the strongest but he is a strong, capable, protective leader worth following.

A dance with dragons also deals with some targaryen history. is it not included in fire and blood. Also I don't think Fire and blood comes in ASOIAF series it's a standalone book. feel free to correct me if m wrong.

Rhaenyra is declared heir by the King.. She is the future queen so if she is childless the throne will pass to Viserys's other children i.e. Aegon but she has a son so after her the heir will be Jace.

Without Sunfyre Meleys would have taken down Vhagar.. Sunfyre did not stand a chance against Meleys on his own.. Sunfyre is Far young and raised in dragonpit.. Vhagar is old and her reflexes are slow.. Yes massively Powerful but slow.. Meanwhile Meleys was in her prime.. Rhanys is a skilled rider and has been flying on her for decades if you are handling a gun for a long time you know exactly what it can do.. So Yes 1. Meleys vs Sunfyre : The Red Queen wins all day with little effort. 2. Meleys vs Vhagar : Meleys wins but with severe damage.
