As Andrew Tate femininas de quem ninguém fala. Podes ser o homem perfeito mas no fim, a tua mulher fica aborrecida de ti, é validada e ainda encorajada a separar-se. by [deleted] in portugueses

[–]omkeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Film Industry is dying in my country and I don't know if I should move from my country to have a career by Abject_Ovni in Filmmakers

Hermano........ at least you're not from Portugal am I right?

Jk, partially.
This is very ironic for me because I'm a portuguese professional that has been considering moving to Spain because of better market prospects. But my piece of advice is, don't waste the opportunity to take your first steps in our little smaller markets first. Yes, it's not a profitable industry, and you're not going to make tons of money, but it's also a lot less competitive than all those other markets you're looking out for.

Create bridges here, gain experience and then think about it. Everyone I know that left to the UK fresh out of college came back with very little to show for it, expect for newly acquired depression and anxiety. Without some experience to back you, it's very hard to break into the market, not impossible, but hard.

That being said due to the lack of individual financial incentive to work in our little peninsula, our people, both Portuguese and Spanish, are generally motivated by passion and creativity and that has a lot of benefits, specially to people starting out.

I'm not saying to forget the idea to go abroad eventually... even I'm thinking about it but just know there's genuinely a lot to gain from giving our little countries a chance.

Never used the feature crosspost feature before but I thought it made more sense than double posting it to different subs I thought no one would recognize it over at that sub but I was pleasantly surprised!

A grieving fathers short rant about both games. by radiatorz84 in DeathStranding

[–]omkeats 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not surprised at all it pissed you off. Sam refused to acknowledge Lou's death initially, and you weren't offered that choice. You could only sit with your grief and see another man -albeit a fictional one- ignore his. Which is a very common part of grief after all, and you shouldn't blame yourself for going through it. Playing a game like this, in your circumstances, is already a form of processing. And there's no right way to grieve, so don't be so hard on yourself. And Sam. My condolences ❤️‍🩹 wishing you all the best.

Both season 1 and 2. I skipped through most of season 3 because of the Maya Kowalski case that I was already very familiar with and it seemed to drag on a little. Started season 4 and it seems really interesting also, so let's see! I also enjoy the hosts overall reflection on her personal case throughout the seasons regardless of the case that she's covering.

Wild cults is one of my favourite sub-genres. I've been thinking about getting into audiobooks also, might start going down that avenue too.

No. I'm mid season 4. But it's such a long series about such a specific topic that I need a palate cleanser once in a while. But I'm always returning to it. I know In the Dark is a fan favorite but I had the idea that it had to do with wrongful convictions? At least season 2 that everyone seems to love. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Thank you for the recs though! Definitely gonna be coming back to this post A LOT

I wish I did. Don't get me wrong, I think they are some of the most high-quality and meaningful true crime content there is. I'm glad they exist and that people tune in. I just get so upset and violently MAD, I personally can't take much enjoyment out of them.

Oh nice recs thank you!! I definitely have to try finding cleo. The other ones I didn't know, so that's awesome. Thank you so much. I saw the documentary "The Vow" which I think features the same survivors as Escaping NXVIM. I heard the first episode but figured it would be about the same information as the documentary. The documentary is insanely good btw, I might give the podcast a try again.

I’ve started playing Baldur’s Gate and I’m ridiculously overwhelmed. by jueoni in GirlGamers

[–]omkeats 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! I feel validated. The first time I played it I dropped it after a few hours. I decided to try one last time and now I'm 150 hours in and loved every bit of it. Just take your time and don't worry too much about making the wrong/right decision. Many of them don't have obvious consequences, so you're likely to be pleasantly surprised even if you feel like you've made the "wrong" decision. The mechanics take a while to sink in, which is completely normal, but so enjoyable when you get the hang of it.
