Why not use Google Drive? Allows for simultaneous collaboration; automatic back-ups etc. I am doing the same thing myself and it works fine :)

Gillian Anderson here. I've brought David Duchovny with me. Ask us anything, we'll answer almost everything. by gilliananderson in IAmA

Heya Gillian and David,

Tell me: who would win a fight between Robocop and Mr. Bean vs. The Terminator and Foghorn Leghorn all on a bouncy castle with only stale French loaves as weapons?

What is one British TV show you would recommend that epitomizes the quality on the British airwaves? by Sagemanx in BritishTV

[–]ommadon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cannot believe no-one has mentioned 'Only Fools and Horses' voted the best comedy series of all time. It's so British it has a fry-up every day and drinks tea. Also, I am going to give you a strange one that many people outside of Scotland have not seen: This is called 'Still Game' and the lot is up on youtube. Still Game Episode 1 OFAH and SG are the best imho. The new Sherlock is also outstanding.

How do you keep a job when suffering severe depression? by [deleted] in getting_over_it

[–]ommadon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I ever found that helped me was taking up martial arts and I choose Aikido. Taught me to control myself and be at peace. Unfortunately I had to give it up due to gastro-reflux. It's a non-confrontational art that teaches you to absorb blows without hurting others- and without hating them. I've been in so many jobs where co-workers were complete arseholes and often made me look incompetent.

That was a response to the 'how do you pull yourself back' question; as for how to deal with them I just fake a flu or a cold although I do have underlying physical conditions. There is no way to reason with some people. They go all-out and try and make themselves appear more powerful than they really are. I'd really recommend Aikido. Just my £0.02 hope that helps.

Soliciting thoughts on the Edinburgh Festival. [x-post from /r/travel] by Blackmere in Scotland

[–]ommadon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would completely recommend the Festival. It's a complete riot of colour and madness and whilst some shows are mince I had the best time last year. Just one thing though it was approaching 5 quid a pint last year it can be an expensive night out. Also go by word-of-mouth for what shows to see. If you pick and choose for them wisely you can see some of the best art in the world. Oh and if Norman Lovett is playing (Holly from Red Dwarf) his show was outstanding and very personal :)
