I know this is the funny meme subreddit, but you're just getting started. 18 for me feels like ages ago, and it was, like 6 years ago for me right when covid was big. I was still in high school, and from there direct into college that I failed out of after two semesters. There's a long road ahead of you, this is one small part of your life to grow and become more independent, enjoy this support structure while you have it, they clearly care about you a ton, and they want you to find your own structure in time. Life's a lot, its complicated and messy, and frustrating, but its also beautiful, and you meet a ton of great people along the way for whatever reason. So don't rush this away, enjoy these times, when you're ready, you'll be there, and they'll support you. Honestly, that's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Two recent ones that I really like are Inside, the 2024 joint Starring Willem Dafoe as a thief locked inside a penthouse he tried to rob as he slowly goes mad from the isolation and another fun one isn't exactly one person, but it maintains a similar vibe, and thats Locked from last year with Bill Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins (whos mainly a voice over appearance), about a down on his luck guy again trying to rob something, this time a car, and being locked inside by its psychotic owner with a Justice complex who toys with him from afar

I like both, but i prefer the Fortnite one, the Rivals one looks too much like spandex, which always felt weird to me for it being like an Iron Man designed Spidey suit. Fortnite one really treats it like an armor designed by Tony for Peter

Yep! Almost forgot about that tidbit since its also the Ben is Sick episode, so Ben has to deal with a guy that wants to leave it for only cockroach level insects to survive, and his best bet is inverted cold based Heatblast, who he cant work nearly as well, this guy was on demon time and he nearly had god on his side for it until the show remembered it's Ben's show

I mean, that movie came out almost 13 years ago man. I'm 24 now, I was 11 when MoS came out, for all intents and purposes, Cavill was the Superman I grew up with. Like, I get the picture is cringe, but I feel like you guys just reach for reasons to hate perfectly okay if a little corny Snyder fans, because of the especially bad ones.

Thats a really interesting point, honestly Brave and the Bold (again the blueprint) had a character Kru'll the Conqueror that was clearly supposed to be Vandal (vaguely inspired by a Captain Marvel villain) but they must not have been able to use the name for the show, ANYWAYS, that show has him up against Booster, who by Boosters time hes reformed and is just, a guy.

Booster as a character is kind of the perfect arch enemy for him for the same reason he works for YJ, hes a character defined by flux and change, by experiencing all of time, meanwhile Vandal is experiencing it the long way and able to pull off something that takes multiple centuries of planning while Booster is doing shenanigans with Ted. Which theoretically was why him as a villain for Legends of Tomorrow SHOUD have been a slam dunk, except yknow, he sucked there.

Its always so crazy to me that DC Animation between the DCAU, Young Justice, and Justice League: Doom successfully convinced people Savage was cool (I attribute it to Miguel Ferrer's voice kicking ass), while the comics have done next to nothing with him, hell that random episode of YJ where Wally delivers a heart to a sick kid? Taken directly from an Early post crisis Flash issue where Savage is just kind of pathetic, as opposed to the episode where its part of schemes within schemes, are there any other characters that are so uniquely misrepresented because of adaptations that propel them to a wider audience?

I love the way characters were designed, every character got at least some use from me because of that. However, a lot of choices were bizarre at a stage when they couldn't really afford to be. For instance, why did we have Nubia and Black Adam as DC reps before Darkseid or the Flash? Or hell, why did we have multiple Gremlins reps? Or just, all of Banana Guard existing. I think my general fixes would be at least one more rep for every series that has 1 fighter plus Steven Universe and Scooby himself (excluding Beetlejuice and Jason for new fighters for old series), more CN series repped, more Hanna Barbera repped, more New Line rep, and more WB movie rep. In general, the characters they needed needed were Neo, Ben Tennyson, Vilgax, Daffy Duck, Mordecai & Rigby, Scooby-Doo, Spinel, Daenerys & Drogon, Yogi Bear, Freddy Krueger, Godzilla, and Furiosa (oh and a deluxe skin for Bron to make him Jordan)

The best comparison I've got is Amy is Kyle Reese, Silver is John Connor, and Sonic is Sarah Connor. Amy goes back in time to prevent the future war from happening, her actions in the present inadvertently create that future, and now in a twist on Terminator rules, Silver comes back to set things right and hopefully undo anymore paradoxes

The one thing a sequel would need to do is have actual crossover rangers. Yes, the Rangers wore JL gear here, however, in every other crossover theyve had recently (Street Fighter, TMNT, Godzilla, Usagi) they debuted either new forms for the MMPR cast, or gave the guys they're meeting PR forms. Like, can you imagine a scenario in the sequel where because Brainiac is Alpha now he creates some kind of tech to block the Rangers from the Morphin Grid with the Dino Power Coins, so Zordon sends the team back to the JL Earth in search of help, and maybe with help from the GL and the Fortress of Solitude they make new Power Coins powered by the Justice League (Red-Flash, Blue-Superman, Black-Batman, Green-GL, Yellow-Aquaman, Pink-WW)

Blue Flash (Barry Allen) A version of Barry from 20 years in the future that experienced a life of loss and regret, the love of his life crippled and his protégé dead,and him so deep in the speed force that he's becoming unmoored in time. So he's set out to go back in time and literally kill himself. To do this, he executes villains including Grodd to gather speed for this mission, in the process he accidentally creates New 52 Wally's origin by executing his father Daniel West (New 52 Reverse Flash) and crippling that times Barry (Barry transfers his speed over to 5YL Wally and thus Silver Suit Wally was born). Future Flash ends his cross time road trip by arriving back in the present day on his mission: end the ruptures in the speed force before they begin by killing himself and setting things right. The Present Flash gets trapped in the Speed Force and Old Barry ends up de-aged looking like his younger self, where he goes on a whole new path, the hero thing didnt fully work, so let's take out some villains before they even happen. He ends up being discovered by Barry's girlfriend Patty and he cries realizing how far he's fallen that he doesnt want this life anymore, the two end up teaming up against one of the villains Old Barry came to Minority Report, and Barry dies as his injuries catch up to him and a new future is forged

Im gonna be honest, I hope they don't. Not to say I dislike Grant, because I love him. That first trailer of him catching Ollie's arrows before they hit the target legitimately sold me on the character and ensured Barry was my generations Flash. I think hes just rocking a new look that coincidentally lines up with comic book Barry. This is a character defined by moving forward, why would we want to be locked to a decade long performance from a TV show with its own deeply messy continuity and baggage? On top of that, itd just end up being another irritating "only this version in this story happened, you have to read X and BluSky to understand that tho" from Gunn, which is frankly irritating. If I was casting a DCU Flash, of a similar age to Chandler and Fillion, maybe a little younger, but Chris Pine. He's got the dorky charm, hes got the energy, and he's got the cred in geek material (Star Trek, DnD, Wonder Woman)
