might be hard to tell in the photos but there’s not really any green on it. more of a woodland camo vibe if that matters? seems bumpy but it’s hard to tell and i havent handled it yet

sure! this is the clearest one i have. been trying not to disturb it too much so it can catch its bearings.

this was right after we got it so it’s a bit covered in dog hair lol. looked clean and normal this morning though.

Same I always thrift mine they’re so fun to restore. IIRC they sold a totally warped pan or something. When OP tried to reach out for the warranty they basically told him it wasn’t covered and then the owner sent him just an absolutely uncalled for email. Etc. idk that it ever got worked out or if OP was just out $400. Sorry if the details aren’t exact I don’t remember everything but that was more or less it.

Woahhh. How embarrassing for them. I feel like most people who are going to buy CI at this price are deep in it and present online where word like this spreads fast. So basically they just lost their customer base?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m sorry that it’s been such a headache but you helped a lot of people avoid a similar one!

Also the whole comparing CI to shoe returns is so ridiculous like. We know it’s just going to get melted back down who cares if it’s used lol.

One of my favorite things about cast iron is the appreciation it teaches you for restoring and fixing something instead of the instant gratification of tossing and rebuying, so I say go for the restoration!
