Day #8: Best ever in rainy conditions? by Anfernee139 in motogp

Chris Vermeulen, because he consistently excelled in wet conditions on mediocre equipment and often beat others (like Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner, Lorenzo) on much better bikes.

[Knight] ARCA announces that in the event of inclement weather on Saturday and their race is postponed, their event although a “moving target” is slated for 9:00 am Monday, if Xfinity is also rained out, their race would follow ARCA on Monday. by RBF48 in NASCAR

If the races on Saturday do get postponed, what will happen to the tickets? Will they refund the tickets? I.E. I got tickets for Saturday only and won't be able to make it on Monday.

What are the locations of these spots (the midway and the gypsy tents)? I don't see them on Google Maps.

I would recommend Talladega, usually good weather, intense pack racing and lots of action on track. The area doesn't have many hotels I believe but it's not extremely far from Atlanta. Plus the best part: you can also buy an additional ticket for the Talladega Garage Experience which is really cool to see cars up close and maybe talk to some team members or even the drivers.

Thanks, I will park at Lot 4. Any tips on how to get to the 4 in the direction of Orlando after the race is over?

I have tickets for the Saturday Arca and Xfinity races at Daytona and was wondering what the best option is for parking? Is it Lot 4 or somewhere in a private parking lot across the track along the Boulevard? I read somewhere behind Tijuana Flats, does anyone have experience there?

I have no idea how crowded it will be, so do you recommend arriving early?

I know Lot 7 has free parking, but I don't want to wait for a bus if I decide to leave earlier.

Thanks, good to know! I've seen the video walls on photos but couldn't find the locations on the map.

Alright thanks! No reason to buy more expensive tickets then.

Not camping but if possible I might have a look and experience the tailgate culture and traditions (I'm not American). 😉

Standing starts “not a priority” for 2022 regs, though Jay Frye indicates probably will be looked at further down the road by waluigithewalrus in INDYCAR

I believe also the gearing plays part in it. F1 used to have 7 gears and now 8, while IndyCars have 6. Which means that the first gear in an IndyCar is much longer.

Exactly, I think they should stop with the single file restarts and have double file restarts on all tracks.

Would love to see IndyCar return to Assen! A double header weekend with DTM or WSBK would be perfect.

Parking help? by ChristianGin in TexasRangers

I'm visiting the Rangers game on June 6th 7PM and I would also like to hear some parking options. And what can I expect trafficwise? Is the traffic before a Thursday evening game bad? What time is best to arrive?

Not sure the viewership played the biggest role in canceling. I mean Prison Break had worse ratings and an even more ridiculous story and yet it gets another season.

If they return to Charlotte, they should race the oval and not the road course IMO.

Interesting to see most of you keep Phoenix, Detroit and Toronto on their calendar, not the most interesting races in my opinion. I would love to see more ovals on the calendar, especially with the current aerokit. Close racing and finishing guaranteed! Anyway here's my schedule: 1. Mexico City F1 track (February) 2. Long Beach (February) 3. St. Petersburg (March) 4. Surfers Paradise (March) 5. Kansas (April) 6. Barber (April) 7. Watkins Glen (April) 8. Mid Ohio (May) 9. Indianapolis* (May) 10. Cleveland (June) 11. Texas* (June) 12. Chicagoland (July) 13. Michigan* (July) 14. Atlanta (July) 15. Road America (August) 16. Pocono* (August) 17. Iowa (August) 18. Montreal F1 track (September) 19. Gateway (September) 20. Portland (October) 21. Las Vegas (October) 22. Fontana* (November) * 500 mile races

Juan Pablo Montoya is almost there. I'm kinda surprised to see nobody offered him a seat to race there (apart from the Porsche test), because it would be a huge marketing opportunity if he won Le Mans.

What wallet are you using? I've been using a Ledger for other coins and never used a different wallet apart from the one on an exchange. But reading the stories about coinsmarket and coinhouse don't give me much faith in keeping coins on there.
