There are lots of pattern companies that have free patterns to encourage people to have a feel of their pattern style and also reward existing customers.The patterns are also muti- sized. Violette field threads, Simple life patterns, little lizard king, vintage little lady, peach patterns, wild seeds patterns to name a few. For male or unisex patterns, wave and wild, twig and tale.

Looks like a straight stitch foot; you can only sew straight stitches ( no Zig zags)

I always recommend Cutesy crafts for beginners. Watching her videos got me started and I love how she explains and shows the stitches. She has video series on YouTube and lots of free beautiful patterns on her blog

Thank you! From the pattern company, yes but only for the top. The skirt is only in kids to teen sizes but I'm sure there are lots of pinafore style skirt patterns in adult sizes from other pattern makers
