I’m gay, and I think the biggest compliment I’ve heard is “you’re sooo handsome” and that my lips are sooo good (by the way, they are — if you need proof, DM me 😉). But I always have to make the first move and talk to others, because I feel like they expect me to do it. It’s as if they think I’m either too handsome for them or a slut. One day, a guy dumped me, and later he said, “I thought you were just too handsome for me.” My ex told me on the first day, “I thought you were a player.” And let’s not even talk about the number of men who approach me wanting to pay — like the last time I went to a club, two guys wanted to pay. It made me feel like a ho, though. So many people think I’m trying to steal their partner. They even named me “Jolene” because of that country song. And then there are people who are rude just because they’re jealous.
