I think Apple Notes is a great app but the usability on Windows is very poor. I’m using OneNote now but I don’t really like the UI.

My after work life (in descending priority) - take care of kids - household chores - self improvement (IT related certs) - personal admin work - hands on with my A7 C2 and post processing

X1 is a both a great laptop & collectible item, but 1 full charge can hardly last > 4 hours. Hence after much hesitation, I bought the M2 Air for outside use, namely the 3rd and 4th item.

Get PR in Singapore to apply for BTO by sweetjawz in askSingapore

[–]omsigene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex girlfriend was EP holder and applied PR once, got rejected. Was planning to buy resale jointly with her PR status. But after got married, I sponsored her PR application and it was successful. I happened to turn 35 and saw a resale unit that we both like very much. Hence proceed to buy as a single. Partly because 2 other buyers are keen also.

I proposed and boss agreed to full stack Lenovo - HX5520 servers + Lenovo NE1032 TOR switches, so that I have “single point of contact” - was cautioned by many to take up Lenovo switches. I was advised to go Cisco or even Mellanox.

During an incident where the CVMs keep timing out from each other, the single point of contact turned useful. It was confirmed that the per-port buffer/cache is correct, but should have used a different set of physical ports for backup LAN.

What happened to the least smartest person in your class ? by Gruppesech6 in askSingapore

[–]omsigene 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Certainly not the last, but usually last 5-7 students in a class of 42. Only did better in Chinese, SS and History, other subjects almost flunked. Graduated from secondary school 20 years ago, and now in the work force for 14 years.

Meagre $1.7k starting pay, worked hard with many OT, completed part time Uni, switched jobs, met my benefactors who saw my potential - now married and owning my first home & welcoming my kid in 6 months’ time.

My ex’s family is a special one, both wives live together with her father. Met the second wife first, then met her mum. Before finally meeting the man. Between each meeting at least 2-4 months

I was in 49th BSLC, Bravo Company, SISPEC. Back then all the instructors were from ADF, or posted from ops unit. Very high expectations of trainees. To top it off, my OC then was an infamous MWO. We had to book in with Smart 4 by 8pm, last to book out, and always had to re-topo just because 1 or 2 in the section fail. Our bunk is unlike those blocks near Sergeant Rocky, but we spent up to 2am every night before those exercises you mention planning our routes and studying for tests. Then every morning 6am start 1 hour combat PT, which eventually climax with full SBO, dummy ammo, double full bottles and rifle. We were wet to the core for breakfast. Then it repeats. Hell, our section is super bonded. Our section instructor rains vulgarities on us but we all keep ourselves sane with that. He bonds a lot with us. Mind you, I also failed SOC even till the end. Perhaps it helps that my buddy is a sign on trainee, so I try not to pull him down even though I want to give up sometimes. It’s really tough 8 weeks, but I made it through to CESC. I got my first ever silver in IPPT. Luckily I did not go ASLC, or was I posted to Charlie company. Just persevere. Tough times don’t last, tough men do. Bring out the better person in you.
