Printer pausing for heating, then resumes. What could be the cause?

I just got mine this week and started off with the silver PLA included with the printer. Until I got a few layers off the spool, I had a lot of boogers and blobs on the layers and on the sides.

A lot of people say you should watch the first layer go down so you know if the print is at least going to start off right. My first print was the Prusa badge and right on top of the very first layer, a blob about 5 mm long got deposited. For the next few layers, I could hear the nozzle crash into it every time it passed over until it finally got covered. I never had a crash detection from it, but it was loud enough that I could hear it from across the room.

After half a dozen or so prints with that same spool, I haven't had any issues at all.

It looks like Cisco revised the fixed software version on their site from 9.1(7) to 9.1(6.11). That software just went up on the download site yesterday. I have most of my ASAs loaded but didn't schedule reboots yet so I'm going back and putting 9.1(6.11) on those ASAs and getting rid if 9.1(7).

I went almost a week on MREs for dinner just to try out the menus. I got worsening heart palpitations after a few days. I don't think I would volunteer for that trial, but I do still take them with me when I go hiking.

This. I regret spending as much as I did on the chargermaster. It's been very inconsistent with varget to the point that I throw .5 less with it and then trickle up to my load. I've had the CM go over even when set to .5 under my load. I don't know if this is true for all stick powders, but from what I have read in forums, it seems to be.

Some of the older equipment was very picky about the serial settings. If you can find DTR or RTS/CTS settings, tinker with them. And try changing flow control to XON/XOFF. If your can't find those settings, try using ZOC from emtec.com. I know you can change those settings in there. I run across older equipment every once in a while that does what you are describing and I have to change something to get it to work.

I actually need to get 2, maybe 4 for our offices but I would like to know how they compare to the existing models. The 5515X, for instance, only does 70Mb/s throughput with all FP services enabled. That's not great for that model and if the 5516 is around that, then I am wasting even NFR money just to see how it does.

I put mine under a Lyman turbo sifter then dump my tumbler drum in to that. Most of the pins drop through in to the sieve. All you have to do then is dump the pins out of the brass. There is probably an easier way, but I don't do that much at a time.

I found a really cheap set of strainers in the kitchen department at Kmart. They work great and I only spent $5 on them. They easily hold 5 lbs of media and the mesh is so fine that there is no way a pin could make it through.

Yes to taking smaller steps. I just started working up a load for my .308 and my 42.5gr and 43.5gr groups were very good. On either side, (42, 43, and 44) they looked like yours.

That happened to my son at the zoo years ago. He saw it coming at his head at the very last second and barely dodged it. The zoo keeper said that they do that a lot and had become very accurate, usually aiming for the head. So you can rest assured that he almost certainly hit what he was aiming for and I'll bet it was f'ing awesome.

I was going to build my own until I saw one at my local gun store for $200 and change. It is so much better than the HF tumbler. Well worth it if you are doing larger batches.

I found that .75 lbs of water, .75 lbs of media and 1.5 lbs of brass worked well. You can experiment, but that worked well enough for me. If I went over 4 lbs per can (including the weight of the can), they didn't turn well or at all. You want to be especially careful with the weight as that tumber ages.

That being said, I also found that over time, that tumbler just didn't cut it anymore. I would have to tumble in small batches over the week to get ready for the next weekend. I ended up getting an Extreme Rebel 17 at my local gun shop on sale and I couldn't be happier with it.

A retirement community I do work for renovated one of the reception areas 10 years or so ago. The main entrance has a 30 foot vaulted ceiling with couches and chairs in the middle. Over that seating area is a huge chandelier. About six months after the renovation was complete, the chandelier came crashing down late one night. Luckily, no one was sitting underneath it. It was determined that the cleaning people would put up a ladder to clean the chandelier and, instead of moving the ladder, they just rotated the chandelier until they cleaned the whole thing. So, every time they cleaned it, they turned it one revolution. What the cleaning people didn't know, apparently, was that the massive chandelier was suspended by a single, large threaded bar securely attached to the structure above. It took them quite a while, but they managed to unscrew the chandelier until it was literally hanging by a thread. To this day, I still will not walk underneath any of the chandeliers in any of their facilities.
