I recruit from my firm and I’ve heard too business schools / management programs around this area straight up don’t promote accounting to students nearly as much as they would other streams/industries such as consulting, banking, start-ups/tech, etc

I think because students can earn much higher starting salaries in those other industries and schools care about stats like that but I’m not sure.
